Mr Fixit turns his attention back to the leagues after three nights of hectic European action

WINS for Chelsea, Arsenal and Celtic and superb draw for Rangers at Villarreal made it a good night for British sides in the Europa League.

After three nights of European action attention turns back to the domestic scene and on Friday games include Wigan v Bristol City, Sassuolo v Empoli, Huesca v Real Sociedad, Monaco v Nimes and Stuttgart v Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Greg and other as usual will focus on goals so plenty to look at although he doesn't fancy anything from French Ligue 2 tonight.

Last night my over 2.5 goals treble was a loser while the moneyback fivefold returned the stake with Marseille the only losers.

Well done to all the winners including boomshackle with his tips on Arsenal v Vorskla.

There is no Saturday Super Single shortlist this week as one team stands out. Scottish League Two leaders Edinburgh City are 21-10 (now 15-8) at Queen's Park and it was too big.

Queen's have lost experienced boss Gus MacPherson who has been tempted back to St Mirren by Oran Kearney and it's a big loss. City should enjoy their Hampden experience against a side that has failed to score in their last two.

I'm also backing Hearts to beat Livingston and Hibs to win at Dundee on Saturday so I've stuck up a capital treble.

Apologies for anyone who couldn't get on yesterday but there's no good time to move servers.

Been busy with my Daily Record Saturday columns so my both to score double will be my only Friday tip.

Monaco have started the season poorly and should score and concede against promoted Nimes who have netted three against Bordeaux, two v PSG and three v Marseille.

Add Heracles v De Graafschap in Holland. Five of Heracles' last six have gone over 4.5 so this could be a goalfest with three out of four going over 2.5 for the visitors.

Remember to have a look at welovebetting for their tips and video chat.

  • Heracles v De Graafschap (7pm)
  • Monaco v Nimes (7.45pm)
  • (6-4, 10BET)

Agree with MrF on Nimes – if they can score against PSG and Bordeaux they can net against Monaco who also had CL action midweek with Atletico. Monaco should find the net with 8 in 6 – and hopefully this will lead to goals

Morning lads couple of bad days from myself but there’s a couple of games in the EPL tomorrow that hopefully will put me back on track.
    Cardiff v Man City
    Over 3.5 goals at 11/10*****
    Over 4.5 goals at 5/2*****
Cardiff have been woeful and are conceding left right and centre,(only to be expected with the lack of signings for their new era in the premier league) and i see that trend continuing here against a wounded Man City side who will be looking to bounce back with an emphatic win.Correct score 1-5

    Liverpool v Southampton
Over 3.5 goals at 13/10 (NAP)*****
    Over 4.5 goals at 3/1 *****
Liverpool have started off the season in fine style winning every game thus far,and for me haven’t got going yet,but they will and it’s a scary thought for the other clubs when a team thats playing in third gear are winning every game and you have to fear for Southampton here as the new signing Fabhino looks to make his first start for the Reds.Southampton are poor and Mark Hughes knows his team are in for a long afternoon at fortress Anfield.correct score 0-5

    Man Utd v Wolverhampton Wanderers
    Wolverhampton Double chance at 7/5****
Everyone is raving on about Man Utd’s win v Young Boys midweek but having watched the game i was far from impressed with their performance.Yes they won the game but the chances they gave their opponents was pretty much frightening and had it not been for woeful finishing United could have been in trouble, better opposition would have buried them,Although Wolves should prove to be better opponents here they are not the most prolific scorers but they are very well organised and that was proved with their result v Man City and i expect the same at Old Trafford a well organised Wolves unit who could well win this game.Correct score 1-1.

    Brighton v Spurs
Btts and over 2.5 goals at 11/10*****
    Best of luck lads.

Haven’t looked into it yet wc,you would have to fancy Arsenal, btts looks nailed on

    • wasclueless 5 years ago

cheers agree … Everton should also be boosted by Richarlison’s return ..

    • harleec7 5 years ago

As a United fan and at the value I can see why you’ve gone with that option. Especially since they drew 1-1 with SH!TY.

I think us beating Watford last week and maintaining a good performance midweek with a flattering scoreline is why us United fans are optimistic. That coupled in with the fact Mourinho has made tactical adjustments, I think the key really is not betting until our line up has been announced.

If we play the same squad as Wednesday bar Rashford due to ban. Sanchez should move over to the right. I’d tend to lean highly likely win.

    • maccathered 5 years ago

I think when Wolves play the so called big sides they will set up the same way, thats why i have taken Wolves not to lose and given that Man Utd had a midweek game then fresh legs could be the difference.

    • harleec7 5 years ago

Again wouldn’t disagree with your logic.

Just really depends on the Line up, hopefully there isn’t any bone headed decisions…

    • maccathered 5 years ago

The Problem with United for me in this type of game is they haven’t got the players who can play tikka takka football on the edge of the area, they are a route one team who Rely heavily on Lukaku.Lukaku doesn’t tend to fare well in such games as these as he will be marked out of the game.

Poor showing on the football front yesterday for me, couple of goals short on a few bets, was one from three on my rugby league tips as the weather caused havoc on the pitch but happy to get a win with Wigan covering the -6 handicap at 10/11.

Keeping it simple tonight, will be on mr Fix it’s btts double and will be having a single on btts and overs at Wigan vs Bristol.

Was unable to get around the server changeover yesterday which was a shame as my sole bet on Willian to net in Greece landed with the minimum of fuss. Only had a third stake on it though so no real harm done. Not sure if people were on and posting winners but well done to those who managed to.

Quite a lot to like tonight but nothing really stood out on my shortlist as the main fancy. At the odds, I’m drawn to Germany for my main bet. St Pauli’s games have been great for goals early this season and after much deliberation, I’ve decided the BTTS market appeals best at the prices. On a bit of a hodge podge of selections otherwise, though.

Couldn’t get on the site yesterday unfortunately, the Finland Kolmonen had some great value with top teams vs those close to the basement. EG a 9-0 result where the asian handicap was -1.75 for the favorites at 17/20!

I love this league for the big mismatches and I’m on more of the same today, although sods law dictates that these will go wrong after yesterday’s success!

Main fancy below, might add some more later:

HJK / Lsalo vs. PuiU Helsinki

HJK are rooted to the bottom with a goal difference of -64 after 19 games. They have lost their last 7 by 2 or more goals to teams in various league positions, conceding 4-8-3-7-7-7-2 goals in the process. PuiU aren’t the best team in the league but they thrashed HJK 7-2 last meeting and should knock a few in today with perhaps a consolation for HJK possible as well.

    PuiU – 2.0 asian handicap @ 7/8 (*****)
    Over 4.0, 4.5 @ 17/20 (***)
    Betbuilder – PuiU win and over 4 match goals @ 6/5 (***)

Macca tipping Liverpool for a huge win and Man U not to win and water is wet. Mo Salah looks more like a one season wonder every week.
Wigan and F.C. Koln to score and have 4+ corners £10 returns £24.23 with Skybet

    • maccathered 5 years ago

I noticed you was comparing Catterrmole with Salah, the difference here is Salah isn’t playing against Fleetwood Town or Burton Albion, strange but true!!On the Man Utd v Wolves game yes i think it will be a draw and i’m quite happy to take double chance at 7/5 good value imo, also on the Salah front he is competing in the champions league Cattermole in the carabao cup lol soon it will be the F.A vase trophy!!!!

    • acsafc 5 years ago

Ok Glenn Murray then. He’s scored twice as many as Mo Salah this season and played less games and is nearly twice his age haha

    • maccathered 5 years ago

Your obsessed mate you really are,i don’t give a sh*t if Salah doesn’t score as long as the others do,if one doesn’t score the other usually does, and after all it’s a team game and Liverpool are just that,a TEAM.

    Afternoon gents,

Three matches that stand out today including a SA double and one from Finland for anyone fancying an early Friday punt…

    ****************************************

TIPS VS. VIIKINGIT II (1530 KO):

Could be goals again in this Kolkomen match-up; TiPS games have been off the scale recently with 8-5-7-6 match goals in their last 4 – remember, this is the team whose game I posted last week where they grabbed 5 in the first half alone!

Their opposition today aren’t in as fine fettle but still seem to love a goal or 5…usually against them – they have conceded 4 and 5 goals in their last two matches and might get hit again here:

    OVER 5.5 MGS…7/4
    (Bet365)
    🌟🌟

    ****************************************

GENERAL DÍAZ VS. SOL DE AMÉRICA (2245 KO):

All about the away side here for me; they come into this on the back of 2 wins and I have to take note as they managed to nail the Mighty Olimpia 2-1 just last week.

SDA have netted 2-2-2-1-1-0-2-0-2-1-2-0-1-4 team goals across their last 14 matches with that final statistic being the 4 goals they scored past yours truly in June.

It’s not the first time the two have been involved in a high-scorer and amongst other crackers, SDA netted 5 times past Diaz in March 2017 – I love the price for an away brace here:

    SDA OVER 1.5 TGS…5/4
    (Bet365)
    🌟🌟🌟🌟

    ****************************************

GOIÁS VS. PONTE PRETA (2315 KO):

Conversely, this one is all about the hosts and I’m applying the same logic as above.

Goias have failed to score in just 10% of their last 10 consecutive games and are in fine form with 6 wins in 8 games and a proud 3rd place standing theit reward.

Ponte Preta haven’t won in 6 and will be ip against a Goiws side who have netted 3-1-2-2 teams goals in their most successive 4 home games.

Again, I really like the price for a brace:

    GOIAS OVER 1.5 TGS…6/4
    (Bet365)
    🌟🌟🌟

    ****************************************

    SDA & GOIAS OVER 1.5 TGS DOUBLE…4.62/1
    (Bet365)
    🌟🌟

    ****************************************

    Best of luck 👍

One from the super league tonight as Wakefield travel to a Castleford side looking to solidify 3rd place in the super 8s. The weather conditions aren’t ideal as we saw last night and a bet that stands out is under 39 game points at 13/5. Could be a close game with handling errors prominent so a drop goal being scored looks great value at 7/2. On the try scorer front the big centre for Cas Jake Webster carries a huge threat with skilful half backs around him, can be backed anytime at 21/20.

    Three again tonight

    Under 39 game points @ 13/5
Drop goal to be scored @ 7/2
Jake Webster anytime try scorer 21/20

Not a popular sport for betting on here but you can always find value in rugby league

    Monaco v Nimes (7.45pm)

This Nimes side were a huge favourite of mine for goals last season and it’s those goals that got them promoted to the top tier in French football.

You’d be forgiven for thinking they would struggle in Ligue 1 but in fact it’s been quite the opposite and they have been a breath of fresh air. They have continued from where they left last season despite playing against much stronger opposition.

There’s been 24 goals scored in their 5 league matches with 4 of those games going over 2.5 but what stands out for me is the quality of the opposition they’ve been scoring against. They scored four away at Angers, three against Marseille, two against PSG and three away to Bordeaux.

That’s impressive for any team let alone a newly-promoted side with a far inferior budget. They have started the season well and although they have scored 12 goals, they have conceded 12 so betting on their matches for goals is certainly the right way to go.

They travel to play a Monaco side who are really struggling at the moment, without a win in 6 and have collected just 5 points from 5 games which is grim reading.

They do have quality though right throughout their side and they’ll fancy their chances to get a much-needed three points on the board against a side who are far from watertight defensively.

Nimes will come here with no fears though and having looked at their start to the season, it’s interesting that 8 of their 12 goals scored have come in the last 30 mins of matches and each of their 5 league games have seen a goal in the last 15 minutes.

This should be a cracker and I’d be extremely surprised if this match didn’t see goals. Nimes’ gung-ho mentality should ensure that’s the case tonight with both sides contributing.

    Recommended bets

    Over 2.5 match goals
    (4-6, BetBright) (NAP)
    Over 3.5 match goals
    (13-8, Betfair)
    Over 1.5 second half goals
    (5-6, Bet365)
Goal to be scored after 76 mins
    (5-6, Bet365)

Had a good look through French Ligue 2 but struggled to find anything and that’s reflected in the fact all 8 matches are odds against for over 2.5 goals.

Will still be on the Skybet specials though – a bet I do every week in this league.

Goal to be scored in the first half 25-1
    Over 1.5 match goals 15-1

A speculative goals 4fold for me today.

    Torino under 19s over 1.5 TG’s
Bayern Munich II over 1.5 TG’s
    Monaco over 2.5 Match goals
    Sassuolo over 1.5 TG’s

While I’m on. A speculative double for tomorrow on skyBet.

    Boxing: Povetkin to win (can’t believe he’s 7/1 in a 2 horse race). Don’t think this guy’s a mug.

Man City to score 3+ goals, 20 + Cardiff booking points and 6+ City corners.

I recall the Cup match last season being quite brutal and suspect there is some bad blood between these teams and let’s face it, Neil Warnocks team talk is likely to be a bit Dad’s Army. “They don’t lit up em Captain Mainwaring”.

Anyway I digress, the double is 25/1. Good luck.

    • cockerspaniel 5 years ago

      3/1. 20 + bp each team. and 11/8. 40 + bp might be worth a punt mate.

    • evens knievens 5 years ago

I think you’re right. I have also put City over 3 goals, over 8 City corners and over 30 booking points 16/1 on Hills doubled with Povetkin to win (13 different bets covering each round with odds between 66/1 and 100/1).

A £1 stake could win as much as over £1600. Worth a punt me thinks.

I know naff all about boxing but if anyone thinks this guys gonna lie down for AJ when there are so many belts up for grabs, they’re kidding themselves.

These odds are outrageous especially if you can find something tasty to double it up with.

    • cockerspaniel 5 years ago

Poor night for me…main Finish pick was a total failure with HJK only conceding the single goal in a 1-0 defeat (a feat they managed only once in the previous 14 matches).

In plays were better with 2 out of 3 coming in. One out of 3 on the Monaco front was again poor. Well done all winners!

I’m still following 2nd half highesr scoring strategy and still managing to break even in long term and convinced one of the big accas will land soon. Focus is always on the games in top divisions of top leagues and European competitions. They tend to stay tighter for longer. This along with doing my research on, and picking and choosing out of, Greg’s, Hull’s, Jordan’s and the bosses tips is proving enough for me. Thanks lads. Can’t remember the last time I deposited any money and had a few nice withdrawals. I do wish I had more time to research myself but in truth I was never that successful anyway when I did. I also wish I’d always had such a common sense approach.

Anyway I’m rambling. Tonight I have picked the solitary games in England Championship and top divisions in Spain, Germany, France, Holland and Italy and have a point on each for 2nd half highest scoring. 6 fold pays 60/1.

    Have a good night.

I like the sound of your approach. Level stakes on singles and an acca…
How many points do you stake on the acca?

Monaco v Nimes looks good for bookings as well as goals…any thoughts @cockerspaniel?

    I think I’ll go for:

20+ booking points each team at 11/8 (Skybet; 1/3 stake)

    LAUSANNE SPORTS -1. 13/10.

    Summary:
Lausanne have shown early potential for a rapid return to top flight football, going undefeated in all three away days against very strong opposition, picking up 7 points in the process. On home soil, after an opening fixture draw, they’ve since won both following games, hitting 5 past Chiasso, a team of similar vein to tonight’s opponents AARAU!
The bottom club currently are pointless and have a minus 10 goal aggregate from six games. Little appears to have improved from last season in regards to conceding goals! Looking back over AARAU’s record on the road against teams that generally sit in and around top three in league, conceding goals aplenty is a very common occurrence. 3,4,3,4,3,2,1,4! Equating to defeats by 2 clear goals in 7 out of 8 fixtures!
I’m airing on the side of caution, thus taking LAUSANNE to win this by two clear goals!

Good luck all with bets this evening 👍

Hi gents very sorry its a late one today. Two teams in Holland playing poorer opposition usually means goals for the favoured side home or away. Cambuur top of the Eerste are at one of my favourite teams to fade in the Utrecht youth, while Heracles play De Graafschaap in the Eredivisie where a home win looks possible. Both of Heracles’ home games have yielded high scorers and De Graafschaap have always been good for goals from when I remember them in the Eerste.

A Fancy Fourfold drawn from some picks I’ve noted on the site today. I like the look of
    BTTS YES :
    Huesca v Sociodad (8pm)
    Monaco v Nimes (7.45pm)
    Ingolstadt v St Pauli (5.30pm)
    Over 2.5 mg :
    Utrecht v Cambuur (7pm)
    (23/4 Lad)
    Come on.

-I’m writing this off with a few minutes left in Germany. No shots on target and Ingolstadt just seen a Red. Ah well, can’t win ’em all. On we go….ah look at that, a St Pauli goal as I type. 7 mins left. Let’s see what happens on the B365 pitch…nothing doing…still nothing doing….ah up comes the dreaded ‘Full Time’ and nope, nothing doing this time.

    Sassuolo to win
    (61/50) – Marathon Bet

Stats look good on this and the price is ideal

    🍻🍻🍻

Horrible start with Empoli going a goal up straight away but Sassuolo’s quality showed in the end, 3-1 the final score and red card for the visitors aswell.

Acca was a disaster so apologies if you got on that, happy enough with the single winning though.
