Couldnt agree more, the loss of Kante is massive and this should be an open game. Fabregas doesnt quite cut it defensively and Bakayoko still finding his feet in this league. Had I not been so confident on my German selection, Watford to score at 4/5 was gonna be my main bet. As anyone from Adelaide or Melbourne like me knows, there’s always a huge rivalry between teams from these two cities, and this particular match is considered the most fiery in the A-League, more than any local derby.
The Reds enter this one without defenders Elrich and Regan, but otherwise are raring to go. They have been decent in the opening 2 rounds, with two strong away results in notorious tough home stadiums to get points at Wellington & Brisbane. They will be keen to punish their old rivals with their first game back at Adelaide Oval and with the form they’re in, I wouldn’t say it’s out of the question.
Victory have lost both their opening games, but in fairness to them, they have played the biggest and best two teams in the league, in Sydney FC & Melbourne City. Their squad is fairly solid overall, and they will be absolutely desperate for a win to turn their season form around. Defender Donachie is out, but otherwise they have a full squad tonight.
This one should be a fiery fixture where I reckon we’ll see a few cards, and goals will likely be a feature in the second half particularly, as per tradition with these two.
