IT'S been a busy weekend but ahead of the Champions League quarter-finals we have a less than manic Monday.
Chelsea host West Ham in a London derby that's biggest game of the night and a likely home win that will move them above Arsenal and Spurs and into the top three.
In Serie A Bologna should beat Chievo at home to boost their hopes of survival and there's not too much else to look at.
Grant Heaney has posted a Chelsea v West Ham preview. And HullShaker has this BetBuilder tip – Chelsea over 1.5 team goals, Chelsea over 5 corners and West Ham over 1 card (2-1, bet365).
I've decided to go with the Chelsea and Bologna and add Bundesliga 2 title challengers Hamburg at home to lowly Madgeburg for a treble. The Germans are trailing a Cologne side rampant since the return of Anthony Modeste so it's a must-win for the home men.
Chelsea haven't lost at home to West Ham for 17 years and hitting third at this stage of the season is massive. They shouldn't be looking at Thursday's trip to Slavia Prague because league position has a better chance of giving them a Champions League place than winning the Europa League.
The Hammers have lost five of their last seven away from home and Chelsea should pick up the points.
Bologna aren't safe and this is a massive chance to pick up three points against almost doomed Chievo who have won just three points in their last 33.
The Belgian play-off system always confuses me but based on stats there should be goals between Bruges and Standard Liege. Nordsjaelland v Brondby also promises goals while Rosenborg should beat Odd.
On Sunday my 2pts both to score treble won at 7-2 but PSV's draw beat my 5-1 Top Treble. The goals treble running from Sunday was also a loser with Motherwell failing to score and my speculative 1pt Super Single of Werder Bremen and both to score needed another goal.
So the accas totals are looking OK but I'll need to improve the Super Singles record as we enter a busy week.
Well done to the winners on Sunday including HullShaker and kevinmac whose Wolves v Watford preview was spot on – although it wasn't looking good for him with 10 minutes to go.

I copied this excellent tip, but with a stake of £0.10, so a total stake of £24.70. 6 of the 8 bets came in and the bet was settled by Bet365 for exactly £24.70. My understanding is that if 4 or 5 of the 8 bets come in, then this should guarantee a profit, and I certainly didn’t expect exactly my stake returned for 6 bets coming in. Are Bet365 correct or should I be in profit ? Thanks in advance.

It’s a crazy bet in the first place,odds of 1/4 and 2/7 and stick them in a goliath,you can’t expect decent returns,you may as well stick a tenner on an acca and hope for a good cashout,can’t understand doing goliath’s when cashout is available.
Likewise Macca, those odds are for challenges like £10-£1,000 or similar. Selecting 8 is madness, , by all means throw a cupla quid at the 8fold but goliaths with them odds are generally donations. If I’m sticking £24.70-£49.40 on a line it ain’t going on 8 selections of over 2.5gls that’s for sure, hard enough picking a treble nevermind 8. Each to their own

Hi @tonys…If you go back to my original answer on this type of bet, I said that 6/8 usually returns the original stake, 7/8 you would see profit and 8/8 a good profit (dependant, as MrF states, on the odds). However, as others have stated here, there are easier (probably more profitable) bets to do with much fewer selections…and I personally would recommend following the ‘well-established’ and way better than me, tipsters on here and you won’t go far wrong.
I don’t get the time to post all of the ‘goliaths’ that I do, but personally and despite some of the (understandable) negativity towards this type of bet, I have had some ‘crackers’ along the way.
If you want my advice, it would be this:
1. Follow the excellent fellas (and lady) on here and you will soon gain a great deal of knowledge around types of bets, betting strategies, leagues/teams to bet on and a whole lot more. Following some of the brilliant tipsters on here, my betting bank has never been healthier.
2. If you did want to have the occasional ‘goliath’ (though I strongly recommend point 1), I don’t see anything wrong with that. As I have stated, I have had several 8/8, which is why I still do these. My last was just 3 days ago (cut and pasted from Bet365)

I had a chat with Bet 365 who said that although it was surprising the return did in fact exactly match the stake on the bets done…
Tony with 10/20p stakes in goliaths you’d need to be looking at certain markets to make it worthwhile….correct scores, result & BTTS, goal scorers etc so the odds per selection are 2/3-1 bigger risk but certainly more reward. Should maybe try planning the over a longer period like 7 days that gives you more scope for selections rather than cramming it into 1 day as cashout ain’t an option anyway. Just my tuppence worth

United need to strengthen in key positions in Summer and are not good enough to compete at the very top this season. I’m please with what Ole has got out of this set of players but there’s still a lot of work to be done. Central defence is a real weak spot… those two when paired together is like watching an episode of the Chuckle Brothers (RIP Barry). The past few games has been calamitous.. fouling each other, missing headers, own goals… it’s been like that the past few seasons, time for them to be sold in Summer.

I tuned in after 30 mins and there’d been no shots on target at all. Price jumped to a massive 8-1 which I baulked at and opted for o1.5 instead at 9/4 because of your tip.
Second half kicked off and they scored straightaway then the next 10 minutes were just a bombardment from the home team, including as absolute shocker of a miss when one on one with the keeper.
