AFTER a dramatic night in the FA Cup our attention turns to the Scottish Premiership with a full card.
On Tuesday there was no shortage of excitement in the five replays with two ties going to penalties, Newcastle netting a late extra-time winner at Oxford and Liverpool's kids edging out Shrewsbury.
Well done to all the winners including Scott with his 8-5 members bet winner and Greg with his total goals winners on French Ligue 2. And of course maccathered with his 38-1 FA Cup draws treble.
My treble was downed early by Rennes not scoring at Lille and that was a surprise. The German Cup was the place to go with 21 in four ties but there was no joy for Dortmund who left it too late to bring on Erling Haaland whose record now is one start and eight goals.
I've posted a separate Scottish Premiership preview where my tips are reasoned.
The final FA Cup replay takes place between Spurs and Southampton and I can see both teams scoring as that's come in six of seven meetings in London.
Spurs can't play new signing Steven Bergwijn, who scored a cracker against Man City at the weekend, but Dele Alli may be fit to start.
The tie eats into Southampton's winter break but they are set to field their strongest possible line-up.
Elsewhere we have Lazio v Verona in Serie and French Ligue 1 matches as well as more German Cup ties.
Lazio have won three in a row against Verona and have netted 14 in their previous four home games. Verona are unbeaten in six but this is significantly more difficult than of those games so take Lazio to win and they should do so convincingly.
Lyon had won four out of five before losing at Nice but should bounce back at home to an Amiens side that's lost four out of five.
Marseille are on a run of 14 unbeaten and have every chance of winning at St Etienne who have blown hot and cold. The Greens have won this fixtures just once in six and to complete the treble I'm on Marseille not to lose.

I couldn’t resist with the VAR comment, I think Liverpool are a sensational team and by all means you deserve to be where you are.
However, last nights “offside” for me wasn’t offside and plenty of Liverpool fans thought so also.
Only match to have VAR in it was Liverpool last night and as I have said before just because VAR calls something doesn’t mean it’s correct. Plenty of teams have been at then end of wrong decisions this season but only 1 team seems to benefit on a consistent basis. As I said you deserve to be where you are but if you dont feel bad for Shrewsbury then you are as cold as Ice. I would rather Arsenal go out to Portsmouth in the next round than go through like that
There’s a reason it seems to help Liverpool out regularly…. we’ve got the best defence in the world who are always ready to play players offside (even if it’s tight, offside is still offside), and the best attack in the world so other teams are knackered early/can’t compete from the get go.
If you don’t watch every Liverpool game I understand why you might swallow up this false narrative of “LiVarPool” but at the end of the day we’ve had a good few decisions go against us – it’s just that we’re that good we win the game anyway so you’ve got no chance to see those decisions.
With the offside last night – yeah it’s tight but at the end of the day it’s offside so what is there to complain about? Sure Shrewsbury can feel slightly hard done by but by the rules of the game VAR worked.

Delving into Sky Bet’s request a bet market tonight in the Rangers vs Hibs match. I like the look of the 5/1 on offer for BTTS, both teams 1+ corner in each half and both teams 10+ booking points. Rangers have stuttered since returning from the winter break and they are going with an untried centre half pairing tonight. Hibs look like they’re going with a very attacking line up at Ibrox and that should make for an open and entertaining affair. I was saying very similar over a month ago when Rangers had just beat Celtic and some were saying the title race was 50/50 and could go either way. As a neutral, don’t think the squad is quite there yet however I think you will have a title race on your hands next season. Can see Gerrard making some shrewd signings in the summer plus there’s the factor that he has Liverpool links for potential quality loan signings as well.
