Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: Look for wins in Italy & Spain

IT was another decent day for punters and with the likes of Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, Celtic and Rangers all winning it would have been a bad night for the bookies.

That fivefold wouldn't have paid much and finding value as I said wasn't easy so I was delighted to put up two winning trebles.

My Top Treble won at 11-5 with the help of an injury-time Athletic Bilbao penalty winner.

That gave me a 4.4pts profit and I added another 3.5pts thanks to Karim Benzema's injury-time consolation that brought up the both to score treble.

It could have been a full house but I chose Hibs ahead of St Johnstone, Sunderland and Werder Bremen as the Super Single and they were held 0-0 at home to Kilmarnock while the other three won but overall I can't complain.

Well done to all the other winners and HullShaker was unlucky with his Man City goals and corners bets. City missed a pile of chances and racked up 17 corners.

On Thursday plenty of games to look at including five in Serie A and La Liga and PSV and Feyenoord in action in Holland as well as Anderlecht v Bruges in Belgium.

My Top Treble tonight is Sassuolo, Atalanta and Leganes draw no bet. Sassuolo have been on a poor run but can climb three places and closer to safety against a Chievo side almost down and with one win in 19.

Add Atalanta at home to Bologna. A win will move them within one point of Milan in the race for the final Champions League place and that is huge motivation with tonight's match being a sell-out.

I could have gone with both to score with Atalanta's previous five going that way while Bologna have won three in row but sticking with the home win.

Complete the treble with Leganes draw no bet at home to Real Valladolid. Mauricio Pellegrini's side are strong at home with just two defeats and have won their last three to nil against a struggling outfit. Leganes should win but keeping the draw on side as the visitors need the points more.

For a goals bet I'm starting with both to score (over 2.5 goals is too short) at Feyenoord v Heerenveen – stats say goals although the visitors have netted just once in their last two. Seven out of eight in Rotterdam have brought up btts and it was 5-3 Feyenoord earlier in the season.

I looked at the earlier Dutch games between PSV and Zwolle but it could be a low scorer with Jaap Stam sorting out PEC's defensive woes. PSV should win but they are no bigger than 1-5.

So instead I'm going with the Atalanta game I mentioned earlier and adding btts at Real Sociedad v Real Betis. Five out of six in San Sebastian have brought up btts and overs including a 4-4, 3-3 and 5-1 and it was 2-2 in the cup in January.

I've been on holiday this week so already gone though Saturday's card and put up a Super Single shortlist for members earlier.

One price stood out and that's 10-3 on Albion Rovers at home to Queen's Park – it's too big for a side that's moved off the bottom with four wins in five and I'm putting them up now as the price is likely to drop. I'll add another Super Single on Friday night or Saturday morning.
