IT was a strange day – Man City and Liverpool looking pedestrian and my long-shot tips doing better than the shorter-priced ones.
Liverpool did just enough to see off Brighton and are the early pacesetters after City shipped two points at Wolves.
Lack of goals at Molineux and Anfield downed my Top treble but the Super Single won at 19-10 thanks to Ayr's 4-1 thumping of Dunfermline. Somehow the Pars were favourites and that was one bookies got very wrong.
My moneyback fivefold and both to score treble were losers but on the long shots for members only I had a 22-1 four aways winner and the Bonkers Bet of Bournemouth 2, Everton 2 landed at 13-1. I've had 38-1 and 22-1 away fourfold winners this month but they don't contribute to my points total unfortunately.
As well as Ayr all the other five bets I recommended on my Scottish preview won so my stats should be looking better. They were Lawrence Shankland to score (19-10), Queen of the South (2-1), St Johnstone (11-10), Arbroath (20-23) and Annan.

There's a busy card with Celtic v Hamilton and Motherwell v Rangers in the Scottish Premiership and three games in the Premier League including Newcastle v Chelsea.
On the Continent there are matches to look at in all of the big leagues and I've added more tips.
Celtic and Rangers are both short and Rangers could have one eye on their Europa League return with Ufa in Russia on Thursday having won just 1-0 at Ibrox. Kyle Lafferty could start after signing from Hearts and if he starts could be worth a look at 4-1 with bet365 to break the deadlock and 11-10 to score.
Motherwell skipper cranked up the heat before this one by saying it was fun to see Gers man Fabio Cardoso “weeping” after breaking his nose last year.
He's apologised for the comments but there's bound to be some bad feeling. Gers have had players sent off in their first two league games and a red today pays 4-1 at bet365 and is the Super Single. Other tips will be added in the morning.
Celtic have won five in a row at home to Accies and while they should bank the points they could be a bit heavy-legged after their trip to Lithuania. Brendan Rodgers has bemoaning defensive boobs and his side haven't kept a clean sheet so both to score could be a shout even though are Accies are low scores.
In England I like Fulham at a Burnley side finding it difficult to juggle Premier League and European football with a small squad. They should be a bit bigger than evens though and Chelsea also short at Newcastle considering they've lost four of their last five at St James' Park.
For my Top Treble I'm backing Sevilla at home to Villarreal. Sevilla are always strong at home and have more games under their belt than their opponents who lost 2-1 at home to Sociedad last week while Sevilla were winning 4-1 at Vallecano.
Add Zenit St Petersburg to win at Ufa. Both are involved in Europa League returns on Thursday and it will be Ufa who are more distracted as they welcome Rangers trailing just 1-0.
It's Ufa's first Euro campaign and they're excited at the prospect of Steven Gerrard coming to town and a chance to reach the group stage. Players are likely to be rested while Zenit and their big squad have done it all before and won't expect to lose a 3-1 lead in Molde.
Complete the treble with Fulham draw no bet against a Burnley side whose squad hasn't handled a Europa League schedule very well. Gerrard says this is the most hectic run of games he's experienced and again it's new to Burnley who are paying the penalty for not adding to their squad.

Decisions, decisions…Keflavik are a massive 8/1 to win this and whilst the prices reflect how poor they are – I think the 1/3 for an FH side away from home is way too short.
Keflavik may be cut loose at the bottom of the Urvalsdeild with just 4 points from 17 games but FH are making a hash of their own campagain…again!

Hi gents. No joy with Wigan yesterday after QPR broke their points drought with a 1-0 win at home.
Fairly big card but not many teams in my usual criteria today so this one is more of a gut than law of averages.
Watford host Palace in what I feel should be the most exciting game today. Watford have scored 2+ in both their games already so they’re ok going forward, while Palace opened their campaign on a high at Fulham, but lost out unfortunately on Monday to Liverpool. They were unlucky not to score and look a threat on the counter, which is exactly how they won at Fulham.
Like I said no stats to set this up but it looks the best for goals in my opinion. Two fairly even teams on paper, and you can see how the bookies respect Palace with Watfords appealing price on home turf despite two wins from two.

Cardiff Met v Caernarfon
I am going to take on one punt in the meantime. Cardiff Met Uni welcome newly promoted Caernarfon for their third game of the season after starting strongly. I actually attended Cardiff Uni (not Met). A few years back, Cardiff Met played Cardiff’s first XI (a side that featured a mate of mine) in a behind closed doors friendly and thumped them by double figures and then some. Their rise back into the Welsh Premier was capped by a top 6 finish last year and a solid book of results on their own turf.
A University team in nothing but name, Cardiff Met have started this year strongly, bagging 6 goals in their opening two games against established Premier sides. Their 2-1 defeat of Newtown was cosy, yet Newtown have kept two clean sheets since then. One of those was earned when beating Caernarfon 2-0, which is an interesting early season form line.
More impressive was Met’s 4-1 win at Aberystwyth which, in horse-racing terms, has seen the form boosted by Connah’s Quay. CQ beat Aber 2-1 two days back on home soil – when you consider that CQ may well challenge TNS for the title this season, Cardiff Met’s comfortable away defeat of Aber looks all the more impressive.
The Met boys will see this as a very winnable game and, at the prices, I can’t help but have an interest on them continuing their early season goalscoring form.

I was at this fixture last season. Watford dominated earlier on and had only 1 clear cut chance ( attempt off the bar ) Palace thereafter had enough chances to of won very comfortably.

I’ve been following South/Central American football for nearly 10 years now and, like most things in life, you develop favourites over time!
I like the odd Brasilian, occasional Costa Rican and have a soft spot for the Chilean and Paraguayan leagues but if I had to choose just one to follow, it would be the Bolivian Primera – I just love it; the rollercoaster games, the scorelines, the sheer altitude of grounds, the rivalries…even the names of the teams roll off the tongue!
A central theme to the Bolivian top-flight over the years is the La Paz derby which sees The Strongest take on their arch nemesis Bolivar way up in the Andes…safe to say there’s no love lost and tonight sees the two Bolivian titans clash once again…
THE STRONGEST VS. BOLÍVAR (2215 KO):
These games are so hard to call and alas backing red cards and penalties are sadly missing from any bookie outside of the local Bolivian Pazzy Power branch.
H2H’s give no consistent betting patterns; they are usually relatively low-scoring and close affairs, historically btts/overs was the ‘go-to’ call but of late (the last 5 in fact) very few have seen both sides netting.
I put this down to the fact that, up until recently, both sides were outclassing every side except themselves; the last 12 months however has seen a bit of a power shift with teams like Wilstermann and more recently Royal Pari coming out of leftfield to prise open the title race.
As a result, The Strongest failed to impress in the Apertura stage took a few dents to their pride and now it seems Bolivar are struggling in the Clausara stage as they sit a relatively poor 7th of 14 and a gap of 8 points behind their rivals.
Current form is everything, and The Strongest have both form and momentum on their side – the 1-0 away defeat to up and coming Pari didn’t come as a huge shock to me and aside from this, they have looked more like The Strongest of old with 6 hefty back to back wins.
Victory over the old enemy will see them leapfrog Pari back into top-spot and more importantly, secure La Paz bragging rights until the next time these two giants meet.

KEFLAVÍK VS. FH (1900 KO):
Decisions, decisions…Keflavik are a massive 8/1 to win this and whilst the prices reflect how poor they are – I think the 1/3 for an FH side away from home is way too short.
Keflavik may be cut loose at the bottom of the Urvalsdeild with just 4 points from 17 games but FH are making a hash of their own campagain…again!
After picking up the pace early doors, the FH defensive circus is back in town; conceding a goal in each of the last 5 matches (8 of the last 9 away from home) and defeats/draws with IBV, Fylkir and KA respectively aren’t big and certainly aren’t clever.
But, Keflavik really are poor and that home record stinks – 3-3-2-2-4-3-2 goals against in successive matches makes for dire reading – could match goals be the way here?
Recent H2H’s certainly indicate that this might be the case; scorelines of 2-2 (2018), 1-3 (2018) and 2-3 (2017) offer up plenty of potential and given the first two were played at Keflavik, then goals appeal even more
