LOSING Saturdays and winning Sundays – that's been the pattern over the last couple of months.

Results overall were pretty poor yesterday starting for me with 0-0 at Celtic and finishing for many others with 0-0 at Man United.

Well done to any winners yesterday – Desmond had one and Jordan's only tip was a winner any maybe that's the way I'll go next year on Saturdays. Less could be more.

Also must mention Paolo Baldini who previewed three Italian games and picked two correct scores – Inter 0, Lazio 0 and Verona 1, Juventus 3. He also tipped a draw and under 2.5 goals at Fiorentina v Milan.

Unfortunately as it's New Year's Eve there isn't much to look to recover Saturday's losses.

In the Premier League we have Crystal Palace v Man City and West Brom v Arsenal. The favourites should win but the double pays no bigger than 6-5 at McBookie and bet365.

West Brom are without a win in 18 and if Arsenal play as they did at Palace last time out they'll win. It was a superb show but to be fair Palace contributed in a 3-2 defeat and could ask City some questions.

Pep Guardiola's men are going for a 19th league win in row and it's difficult to back against them but I'm chancing both to score.

I'm unashamedly trying to wipe out the Super Single losses by backing Kevin de Bruyne to score first at Selhurst Park. He always poses a goal threat and hit the post and missed a sitter at Newcastle. Worth a go at 9-1.

It was a skinny card so cock-a-hoop to get 3 out of 3 ?

Two picks for any Night Owls out there – stakes best kept low but both certainly in with more than a shout…

FIVE ISLANDS VS. EMPIRE (2300 KO):

Top versus bottom here and with 75% of both teams last 4 games seeing 4 or more goals, this one could well follow suit.

MOTAGUA VS. REAL ESPAÑA (2200 KO):

Yeah 3rd time in a row of just posting winning results without posting the tips beforehand. Supposed to post the tips prior otherwise useless info for other members.

      Top tipping my friend ????????

    • alex_mufc83 6 years ago

Where were the tips posted @lionel ?

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

If tips aren’t posted there’s no point in putting up the win.
That way anyone can claim anything and doesn’t allow others to follow.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

This is funny i post one bet that i placed 1 min before kick off and i get stick, this dude posts last few days his after event bets and nothing said.

why is everyone about ticketyboo posting winning tips. Seems like there’s a lot of jealous people here because he keeps winning

If u posted ur tips before hand, that “Really” wld be ticketyboo!
Not saying u nvr put these bets On , but if u don’t post them, wats the point, if only to gloat?

    • alex_mufc83 6 years ago

Macca that’s not strictly true man – I’ve commented on this guys winning ‘tips’ the past 3 days in a row saying didn’t see these posted as tips beforehand. You post all of yours prior apart from that Kane hattrick but that’s no biggy is it.
Just makes me laugh as every single one he’s posted has been a winner lol

    • alex_mufc83 6 years ago

Lionel think you’re missing the point pal.

    • HullShaker 6 years ago

Only one thing sadder than posting imaginary bets and that’s heaping praise on the person posting imaginary bets.

We’ve had it plenty of times before on here and always follows the same pattern – most probably the same two/three at it again… best to leave them to it and scroll past the posts!

    Crystal Palace v Man City
Over 3.5 goals (NAP) at 11/10
Over 4.5 goals (NAP) at 5/2
    West Brom v Arsenal
Arsenal to win at 8/11 (NAP)
Yesterdays bet Liverpool could have had 8 goals easily 1 goal short for my first Nap,the Man Utd game what can you say, there in trouble and imo i can’t see how they can make top four this season as they are no way near as good as Chelsea or Liverpool.

    Morning gents

Had to call a stewards enquiry last night with my NAP a goal short, my 5/1 treble a goal short and as for Peterborugh ?

That’s the way it goes sometimes sadly

Only bright spot was Hibs -2 corners. They won 15-3 which is incredible

Advice would be to back Hibs team corners and handicap corners in all matches against teams in the bottom 6

Nothing from me today so will take this opportunity to wish you all healthy and prosperous 2018 and a big thank you to Mr F, Scott and admin who along with you guys make this site the success it is

  22. pageone 6 years ago

@alex_mufc83 I am a United Fan. I think Mourinho should be sacked before it is too late. Enrique and Ancelotti are free

  23. davros 6 years ago

Mourinho seems clinically depressed to me, perhaps the realisation there is a proper coach working a few miles up the road, who can actually improve players (Sterling, Ottamendi, Delph, Sane) rather than moaning that he hasn’t got enough cash for players (what a joke)…. As Shearer said on MOTD, his miserable demeanour is being transferred to his players…

    • oz777 6 years ago

Maybe if Mourinho stopped going on about his players being tired, they WOULDN’T be tired?
If you keep telling your players that they are tired, then they WILL play upto it.
Pre kick off yesterday he was going on about a lack of fit strikers, and Lukaku being tired.
Someone needs to to remind him that HE re-signed 36 year old Ibrahimovic, AND, that the top scorers in the EPL right now, Kane and Salah, have played far more minutes than HIS £75m striker.
In form players want to play, and DON’T feel tired.
I NEVER have and NEVER will understand why professional sportsmen are not fit to play every 3 days.
They obviously aren’t conditioned properly, but you’ll NEVER hear them complain about getting to the bank.
A bunch of pampered, overpaid snowflakes…

    • davros 6 years ago

      Spot on…..
I still think the performances have got worse as the season has gone on and Mourinho’s not helping with his suicidal post-match interviews- bin him off and give Ibrahimovic a chance as player-coach, I bet he wouldn’t stand for these garbage displays!!

  24. andrzejstarba 6 years ago

I don’t know what’s going on with the footy this time of year. Anything I seem to bet on has lost in the last week or 2. No matter what I do, goals, handicaps, cards, corners, etc. Like yesterday Juventus to win to Nil, over 0.5 goals in play inter Lazio match, NADA. Today got btts in man city match. Let’s hope for a better second half.

More of a techno head myself but don’t DJ anymore, just go to festivals and gigs.

Also corners might be a good shout for this game, I darent go for goals again after both Manchester clubs’ bore-draws.

    • oz777 6 years ago

      Cheers @alex_mufc83.
I’m a huge fan of Northern Soul, and I play at, as well as visit many events over the course of the year.
The rest of the time I’m just a regular function DJ, but I do tend to do mostly older events, as my knowledge and love of all things 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s is what makes me tick.
      The good old days.
I do younger events too, but while I’m doing them, my insides are bleeding…?
I work as ‘The Wizardry of Oz’ and I love to take people on a magical mystery tour through the decades…?

No more bets for me this year.
I would like to wish everybody a happy a healthy new year. All the best.

  51. nathanufton 6 years ago

So tonight is going to be a bit of an anti-climax for me since my buddy is hell bent on dragging me out of DJ retirement, yet he won’t set up his gear to accommodate me, so i’ll probably spend most of the time ” testing ” the beer. I’m anticipating coming home around 3am or so which will throw a spanner in the works regarding my tomorrow post/preview when the rams host Sheff Utd.

So I shall summarise a little now for you.

After the dreary game away to Hull, I kinda had it set up in my mind that away to Ipswich and home to Sheff Utd would be quite probably 2 draws. But the rams made 5 changes, one was sort of enforced ( Johnson injured – so Lawrence reclaimed his place ) the rest were a little more attack minded and Thorne getting a rare start – damn we’ve missed him.
We owe’d Ipswich one for being the only team to beat us I think since Bristol did us. ( they were one of only 2 teams to beat us in our previous 17 ). Well the rams made a quick start and by 13 mins, we were 1 up. 1 minute later, it should of been 2 up. Ht should of seen us out of sight. Winnall got a top corner screamer worthy of goal of the season a few minutes after kickoff and then the rams took the foot off the gas a little. Ipswich got a goal back but we took all the points.
I felt that game was a make or break for the rams – especially given how we rarely capitalise on teams in an around us dropping points when we should do, so i’m kinda stoked about that win, rather than going 2nd in the league.
Up next we have Sheff Utd who we also owe one. they made a great start to the season including putting the rams to the sword in Sheffield. I’ll never forget that game. That’s the night I chose the rams to score on my 8 way – they duly obliged near the death of the game. Yes they lost but betfair took a £3887 hit in the wallet courtesy of my very first bet with them. It was the night Mcgregor lost to Mayweather.
Sheff Utd of late have slid and wobbled, they’re not totally out of it but they’re not the force they were when they first started this campaign. With the rams freshening up the side, getting another away win means we’ve only lost 2 in our last 18 and our last away defeat was at Bristol in September. We’ve conceded just 2 goals from our last 8 matches and just Ipswich and Reading have beaten us at our ground since November. We are unbeaten at home and away throughout December.
I liked the changes we made yesterday, we had more bite, but as has been pointed out already, Sam Winnall’s loan spell from Sheff Wed ends in January. I’d like him to stay, but that means Chris Martin falls down the pecking order. I’d like Martin to stay but his lack of action must be leaving him feeling a bit jaded about his future at Derby.

Either way, I am much more buoyant about Derby’s chances of taking more than a point when we host Sheff Utd tomorrow. Its down to how we bounced back from that diabolical charade up in Hull on boxing day. Sheff Utd must have one eye on the top 6 come the end of the season and with Wolves scraping a narrow win last night, I though the rams could be gaining ground on them. It was not to be.

I think 5/4 or thereabouts on offer for the rams to get the points tomorrow is another unwrapped Christmas present from betfair. We have the squad to rotate a little, we don’t care about the FA cup tie against Man Utd looming, its all about the league.

Apologies in advance tomorrow for my absence. Rams win all the way for me.

I am sure i’ll be nursing a hangover when I get back home, i’m sure most of us will. So on a final note, have a very happy new year everyone, stay safe, drink plenty and normal service will resume from me as soon as my hangover disappears.

Final game of the year and while I’m tempted to put up Sanchez first scorer I’ll leave it. Was brilliant against Palace but still loads of doubts about his future.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

Apparently the arsenal goals been changed to an own goal by McLean. Wasn’t on it but don’t know if that’s a given everywhere.

    Goals bets profit/loss
    May ✅+15.9
    June ✅+11.1
    July ✅+9.9
    August ✅ +5.7
    September ✅+3.5
    October ✅+2.4
    November ❌-29
    December ❌-50
    Yearly total -46.4

Horrendous last 2 months leaves the goals tips well down for the year. New Years resolutions are definitely to return to the formula I had the first 6 months and to bet less, especially Saturdays. I was lucky that I picked up some nice non goal related wins in those 2 months but you can never rely on that.
Happy new year everyone and all the best for 2018

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Most punters will have suffered over the last 2 or 3 months – results have been poor.

    • sean567 6 years ago

Anno today perfect example. Idve looked at 3 games for goals if I was betting, the 1 in Australia and 2 epl. 2 0-0s and a 1-1. I’ll be looking at returning to more mgs than tgs and just sticking to 1 or 2 at the weekends rather than 3 or 4. Much like yourself I seem to have more success on the smaller cards

    • alex_mufc83 6 years ago

I admire the open honesty with the figures Sean, not many people would advertise a loss. Fair play.

Have a great one and here’s to a prosperous 2018 for us all.

    • sean567 6 years ago

No point in putting up false figures mate, it is what it is. I know myself where I went wrong over November and December (as well as there being really unexpected results) and I’ll endeavor to return to the first 6 months if I can. What I’m thinking of doing is keeping totals for my other bets too, then that way at least people can see what tips to maybe follow if ones inform and one isn’t.
