THERE is a full card in Europe after the break for international but that doesn't mean it will be easy to find winners.

It's not the best of cards for punters and it all starts at 12.30 with the big one between Liverpool v Man United live on Sky.

There has been plenty of chat about this game on the site but it looks tough to call and a draw is a real possibility.

I've posted English and Scottish previews which cover most of my tips. I was working late on the Record last night so want take another look at the card before putting up other tips.

For now I'm putting up the Super Single I have picked for the paper and three trebles. I've now added an aways bet and moneyback fivefold.

On these bets I've avoided the shorties such as Spurs, Man City, Chelsea and Celtic and tried to find value.

Check out all the other tips on the site including full previews on games in Germany, Spain and Italy.

Remember to check welovebetting for their tips and video chat.

I remember well my visits to Edgeley Park as a young Bury fan and it’s fair to say there’s been some cross-City ‘rivalry’ over the years…no love lost.

    STOCKPORT COUNTY VS. BLYTH SPARTANS:

Despite the rivalry, it’s never great to see a ‘town’ team suffer but with County doing badly in the NLN, today’s hosts won’t make it an easy ride for the Southern Mancs – I flagged Blyth a few weeks ago and boy, have they been in the action: 9 goals in both of their last 2 league outings is phenomenal and the goals haven’t come just recently…

Blyth have seen an incredible 39 goals in their last 7 games and their propensity of goals scored has been matched only by their inability to defend…prices are way, way too big:

    Three selections here:

    BTTS & OVERS…8/11
    ?????

    BLYTH OVER 1.5 TGS…6/5
    ????

    BTTS BOTH HALVES…17/2
    ?

    Best of luck.

Stewards enquiry is in question with Bourg Peronnas looking like they were on the Peroni’s…

Hopefully found some value, albeit in the deepest and darkest of leagues. The Scottish League One ?

Queen’s Park host Forfar in the clash of the anchors. Neither side are big scorers but both know how to concede, so this should be an open contest. Taking my chance on the visitors to score before their goal time. They’ve scored in two of their last three away from home, and haven’t left without a goal at Queen’s Park since the millennium. Queen’s Park have conceded 2+ in their last five at home which also adds to the value.

    PARANÁ VS. CRICIÚMA (0030 KO):

Parana have been nothing but consistent in the games I’ve backed this season and last and there’s certainly potential here with some decent ould prices.

In short, both teams have netted in all 3 of the last H2H’s with a count of 5/7 if you stretch the record back – it’s that time of the season in Serie B where goals come more easily and I reckon prices are too big:

Good start to the round yesterday, with both bets landing within the first 9 minutes. Today we have the Wanderers hosting the Mariners, and the Melbourne derby.

Western Sydney Wanderers v Central Coast Mariners:
Western Sydney enter this game on the back of a solid and comfortable win over a decent look Perth Glory side. Riera is looking the goods, having scored several goals already both in the FFA Cup and in the opening game of the season. Risdon returns from Socceroos duty, and will be a handful as always.

Mariners by contrast were utterly horrid in their opener, absolutely belted on their own turf by Newcastle to tune of 5-1. I knew the loss of Montgomery would hurt the side, but I did not expect the capitulation to their near neighbours. Storm Roux is still a huge doubt for this one with his back injury, and I can’t see Mariners getting a result away against such a good side like the Wanderers at the Spotless Stadium.

I really expect a dominant display by the home side, with a 2 or more goal win on the cards. Wanderers are also mad for a set piece, and are one of the sides who always play for corners.

    Melbourne Victory v Melbourne City:
It’s the Melbourne derby! With Victory seeing the return of key players Milligan, Troisi and Barbarouses, they should put up a better fight than their tame effort against Sydney FC.

City had a solid game in their comfortable win over Brisbane Roar, and see star Cahill return from Socceroos duty to further bolster the side.

This one should be an all out attacking game, with solid players on both sides of the pitch now able to contribute. This game should see cards, goals and corners. The card line is too high for my interest though, so I’ll stick with the other two lines which look more reasonable.

    Tips:
    Wanderers team corners – over 6.5 @ 1.83
    Oriol Riera – atgs @ 1.72
    Victory v City – over 3 goals @ 2.05
    Victory v City – over 11 asian corners @ 1.95

I’ll put up my thoughts on the Wolves v Villa game shortly but firstly have a nice treble. First time in ages I’ve had chance to do a bit of research.

    BTTS TREBLE

    Fulham v Preston
    Wigan v Southend
    Wycombe v Exeter

Just shy of 4/1 and think this is good value.

  19. richb20806 7 years ago

Right then. Onto the clash of the day (in my opinion)

    Wolves v Villa

Both of us fancy this. We’re both in form and the atmosphere will be electric.

I’d say we can expect a fairly unchanged wolves. I’d love to see us go with Jota, Costa, Cav front 3 to throw some pace at the villa defence as I see that as better for today’s game than using Bonatini. Coincidentally Bonatini has been a class act and his link up play has been first rate. Be interesting to get a Villain to preview there own team. In general we will be unchanged and the Nuno philosophy is that we don’t worry about other teams we let them worry about us.

This could go either way and could be anything from a 0-0 bore fest to a 5+ goal thriller.

If the villa attack us and gives us space on the ball and a chance to counter then we could very well destroy them.

If they adopt a more ‘cardiff’ mindset against us and break up play and ruffle us then the villa could well win. We’re still awful on set pieces too.

Can’t pick a winner today from a betting point of view. Although the heart has Wolves to edge this with JOTA on the scoresheet (2/1 atgs. 1 point)

My absolute NAP of the day is

    BTTS 10/11 (5 points)

    BTTS OVERS 8/5 (2 points)

I think this will be a firey affair aswell and over 3.5 cards at 4/5 is reasonable value although I won’t be taking this as I’m backing the above.

    • craigyboy 7 years ago

Fellow Wolves fan here. As you say should be a fascinating game with both teams in great form. It’s one of those games that I’m sure both teams will want the win but at the back of the mind a draw isn’t the worse result. I’d expect a fiery game and that 4/5 on the way of cards looks great value especially when you consider the pace of Jota, Cavaleiro and Costa running at the likes of JT.
I’m quietly confident that we could nick this, possibly 1-0.
The only bet I have had is I’ve had a RAB double of Wolves to score and 4+ corners along with Man City to score 2+, 5+ corners and 20+ Stoke booking points.

    • richb20806 7 years ago

I quite like that RAB double to be fair. Might nick it. I fancy us to concede today. We’re still looking shaky at the back aint we. Bonus is we’ve got goals all over the team.

I can see Terry picking a card up today getting frustrated with the trickery and pace of Jota Cav and costa. 3/1 on Skybet too.

Off up town in a bit to get prepped

Just spent over an hour writing up games and summaries but not for the first time failed to deliver! A touch frustrating to say the least!

BRISTOL ROVERS over 1.5 tgs 4/5. 10 points.
    Summary :
The pirates netted twice in both fixtures last season.
Top scorer Bodin missing today, but failed to hit the net against the U’s in both games.
Rovers always value for a goal or 3 on home soil.
Apart from an away win at ‘will don’t believe in form guild’ Peterborough ,the U’s have a poor away record.
The U’s have generally struggled against the better sides in division home and away!

  22. warktheline 7 years ago

CHARLTON to WIN 10 point 29/20.
    Summary :
Doncaster have a poor record home and away against better sides in division ( did beat Blackburn early doors )
Charlton have a tremendous away record, and home form good ( lost to leaders Wigan )
Charlton are a good division 1 outfit, hoping they will edge out Doncaster !

  23. warktheline 7 years ago

CHESTERFIELD over 1.5 tgs EVENS 10 points.
    Summary:
Lowly Chesterfield under new leadership. Hopefully new impetus .
Although not prolific at home have netted over 1.5 against poorer opponents such as Port vale and Yeovil.
Morecambe without top scorer Ellison (big loss).
Morecambe continue to leak away goals, averaging 2 per game.

  24. warktheline 7 years ago

LINCOLN to WIN EVENS 10 points.
    Summary :
The imps are a tough outfit and very well drilled under Cowley’s guidance.
The imps have a good home record against sides not recognised as promotion candidates.
Cambridge have struggled on the road against better sides in division and form generally poor.
Hoping the imps will grind out win!

  25. warktheline 7 years ago

NOTTS COUNTY to WIN EVENS 10 points.
    Summary:
County have suffered a minor blip of late, but home form has been tremendous under Nolan.
County have a good home record against Barnet ( not so away ).
Barnet current form poor, and not helped by a host of injuries including top scorer absents!

    Morning gents

    SPL action for me today

    Partick Thistle v Kilmarnock

After 8 matches Thistle still remain winless but couldn’t have asked for a better fixture today against fellow winless (and managerless Kilmarnoc). Thistle will probably feel their efforts deserve more than the three draws they have managed, the thorn in their side is conceding late goals. The fact Killie still don’t have a manager and Thistle are at home, it’s the perfect opportunity for them to pick up their first win of the season

Back Partick Thistle to WIN 6/5 (Paddy Power) (NAP)

    ****************************

There are quite a few games in Scorland I fancy today

    Motherwell to beat Hamilton
    Falkirk to beat Inverness
    Dundee United to beat Livingston

    Treble pays 19/2

    *****************************

    Hibs v Aberdeen

Match of the day in Scotland comes from Easter Road – Hibs have had a stop start season so far but no denying on their day they are a match for anyone. I’ve watched them a few times this season and their direct style of play certainly sees them rack up the corners

They’ve already seen managed 8 corners in 7 of their games ( three of those were 13,13 and 15) Aberdeen will be on the attack too and have players that can hurt Hibs

Back over 9 match corners 1/1

  30. leroy 7 years ago

Shrewsbury have yet to fail to score in a game this campaign and that streak shouldn’t end at bottom of the table Plymouth who have conceded 10 in their last 5. No clean sheets on the road for Barnet should see Notts County bagging a goal. They laboured to a late 1-1 draw v Forest Green last week but that late goal showed character amid a poor performance. It also meant only Coventry (best defensive record in the league) have shut them out. Stranraer should net against Alloa, who don’t travel well. Stranraer have seen plenty of goals at home this season and recent meetings have also seen both sides scoring plenty.

My once home town side have a winnable tie in what is a huge fixture for Southern Premier Slough Town in FA Cup qualifying. They host Folkestone, another side in the 7th tier of the English football pyramid but playing in the Bostik League.

Slough have beaten 9th tier Berkhamstead, another Bostik League side in Dulwich and National League South side Poole Town on their way to this qualifying round. In each tie, they have managed to concede on their way to victory (1-3, 2-1, 3-2). Folkestone have similarly dispatched each of their three opponents at home 3-2, 2-1 and 3-1, though they have yet to meet a side in the form that Slough are.

Slough have scored 23 goals in 7 home games and 18 in 6 on the road. The only thing more astonishing than their goalscoring record this season is their comeback in midweek. Trailing 4-0 at HT to Merthyr Town (who had at that point conceded just 2 in 5 home games), Slough launched an astonishing comeback to win 4-5 late on.

The joint-managers have come out to say that the camp is buzzing after that result and are more than up for this FA Cup tie following a long round trip to Wales. There are no fresh injury worries and the club are expecting a packed house. Folkestone aren’t kicking up a fuss in their league and I think they might be there for the taking.

    At a short price:

Slough Town O1.5 Team Goals @ 4/6 (Various)
    ______________________________________

However, evident in that scoreline against Merthyr is Slough’s frailties at the back. They have conceded in 9 of their last 10 so, while I fancy Slough here, there’s every chance they let one slip through the cracks in what I hope is an eventful cup tie.

    Small stake:

    Slough Town v Folkestone BTTS and O2.5 Match Goals @ 20/21 (Bet365)
    ____________________________________________________________

Glenavon are once again underestimated and hopefully they can do me another favour this season. They’ve scored 11 in 3 away games and that includes bagging 2 at Coleraine in a 4-2 defeat. Coleraine have only conceded 5 in 9, so I’d back this Glenavon side to score anywhere. However, they’re very much like a side that like to attack first and defend later. With 41 goals in their 9 games and a trip to Crusaders (23 goals in 9) on the cards, I fancy goals.

    Crusaders v Glenavon BTTS and O2.5 Match Goals @ 4/5 (Bet365)
    ______________________________________________________

    Another small stake:

Shrewsbury, Notts County, Stranraer, Bristol Rovers, Exeter, Walsall, Slough Town

    Nordsjaelland over 1.5 tgls @ 4/5 -**-

FC Nordsjaelland are 2nd and could go top with a win today. They play lowly Randers, rooted to the foot of the league. Form has been a bit mixed of late for FC Nordsjaelland but they are at home and should be looking to win this. Another option is the straight win @ evens in case of a 1-0, but I think this is a very unlikely scoreline. Win and BTTS is 13/5.

The only thing certain in the Premier League this season is that you know Man City are going to score 3 or 4 at home very week and Spurs are going to struggle at home.
Looks like another shocker. No goals all season and pow Palace score twice against the Champions…what chance you got?

    • chelseagirl 7 years ago

I quite fancied Palace today but alas did not do them 9/1 as well urgh ! Chelsea are goin to struggle without Morata and Kante.

    Liverpool v Man Utd
    under 2.5 goals (NAP) WON
Liverpool to win at 17/10 lost
    red card lost
I think there will be a few on here licking their wounds after that game especially the ones who took over 4 man utd corners and 1+ man utd goal, you was pre warned Lukaku does not score agianst big teams and i knew he wouldn’t be a problem Liverpool pretty much controlled the game and a outstanding save from de gea that kept my 1 nil scoreline out.At least my Nap won that was the main bet.well done all winners.

    • scottsaa 7 years ago

Well called you deserve the plaudits mate?

    • maccathered 7 years ago

No need for plaudits but thanks anyway mate,it really does help to understand the game. What we learned is Man Utd faced their first big team and were well short.I will nap Liverpool to win at old trafford in the ndxt meeting without hesitation.??

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Lukaku didn’t have a hope – Man Utd played for 0-0 and got it.
Second worst game I’ve watched this season – nothing will be worse than Clydebank 0, Arthurlie 0 a few weeks ago.

    • maccathered 7 years ago

They wouldn’t come out to play, they have to at old trafford thats why we will beat them at their place.

    • chelseagirl 7 years ago

Aye well done you called it right tho I think it was Utd who decided the destiny of the result. That’s 3 games now at Anfield Liverpool have failed to score v UTD.

    • maccathered 7 years ago

Are you for real chelseagirl,it was united who decided the destiny of the result, never heard anything like it.A quick question if it were united decided the destiny then why didn,t they win it??United were not strong enough to attack Liverpool i said this the other day, no fellaini or pogba makes man utd weak in attack and that was proven today Mourihno knew this and anyone who is football wise would have known this.Liverpool should have won the game as they were the better side.Still unbeaten at home.Chelsea lost two games on the trot.

    • craigyboy 7 years ago

Nice one @maccathered. Great call! Standard Mourinho loves to park the bus in the big games. He’s quite happy to get the point away from home against the big guns. Unfortunately it works 99% of the time for him. If United had have opened up, Liverpool would have took advantage.

  55. HullShaker 7 years ago

    Howay the lads ?

FC Nordsjaelland went one up early, then 2-1 down – thought the win bet was doomed at that stage but they got it back to 2-2 mid way through the 2nd half the grabbed a late winner. The ‘other options’ also came in, good day all in all. Well done all winners!

    FC Nordsjaelland v Randers FC
    FC Nordsjaelland win and over 1.5mgls @ 5/4 -***- ?✔
    Nordsjaelland over 1.5 tgls @ 4/5 -**- ?✔

FC Nordsjaelland are 2nd and could go top with a win today. They play lowly Randers, rooted to the foot of the league. Form has been a bit mixed of late for FC Nordsjaelland but they are at home and should be looking to win this. Another option is the straight win @ evens? in case of a 1-0, but I think this is a very unlikely scoreline. Win and BTTS is 13/5?

    Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool
Liverpool to win at 12/5 (NAP)
Liverpool to win -1 asian handicap at 5/1 (NB)
You might think i am a bit potty taking this one on but think again we always beat tottenham no matter where the game is played and to me tottenham are not what they were since losing influential player Kyle walker who had a big hand in tottenhams runners up season.Played at wembley loads of space to exploit suit us down to the ground.

    • mint 7 years ago

      Evening maccathered,

      Well done today dude,great picks!

      #YNWA ?

      MINT…

    • wiggle 7 years ago

I think your “potty”. The last five H2H against us are 3 draws and 2 Liverpool victories, the last five H2H at Spurs read 2 draws 2 Liverpool win and 1 Spurs win. That doesn’t equate to “you beat us where ever the game is” ?????

    • wiggle 7 years ago

I also need to take you to task over your comments we’re not the same team – we are third?? And Kyle Walker- wasn’t even getting a game due to injury and being out of form???

    • maccathered 7 years ago

Kyle Walker used to be a provider for Tottenham last season his crosses etc etc he was always getting forward and Deli Ali does not look the same without Walker in the team, this game played at Wembley so effectively its a neutral ground, you going by stats so we haven’t lost to you in the last 5 games and if i can remeber pummeled you at anfield last season, like i say we usaully do well agianst you and next sunday i see no reason why we can’t get a good result, also tottenham like to attack or will have to as they are playing at home if you like and this suits Liverpool down to the ground.Tottenham don’t score many agianst us.Ok the words used were a turn of phrase the last ten meetings between Tottenham and Liverpool tottenham have won 0 drawn three and Liverpool won 7 by some scorelines i must add.Once tottenham concede there heads go down and remember rightly last season at white hart lane Liverpool were unlucky to only come away with a point.

    • wiggle 7 years ago

That “pummel” at Afield last season was 2-0??? The last 10PL H2H are Liverpool wins 6 Draws 3 Spurs win 1 that’s a 60% win rate still not exactly always?

    • wiggle 7 years ago

In the last 30 games during last season Kyle Walker missed 9 games due to injury, suspension, on bench (and never came on) or not in squad and out of them 9 games Spurs lost 0!!

    • maccathered 7 years ago

Kyle walker played plenty at the bussiness end of the season and was pivotel in them creating chances, have tottenham been as much of a threat this season they won 1 nil today a narrow win at newcastle so imo they miss the forward runs of kyle walker.

    • wiggle 7 years ago

      NAP next Sunday
      Spurs to beat Liverpool
“I can’t see why we can’t get a result” against an out of form away from home Liverpool team (only won 1 of last 5 away to Leicester) and Spurs are unbeaten at home last 5 games.!

    • maccathered 7 years ago

Liverpool have been out of form for some seasons now but are unbeaten against spirs in the last ten games and didnt you finish 2nd ladt season????

    • spursman 7 years ago

We’re struggling with Wembley but that’s only because we have to adapt to not having the smaller pitch anymore but against Liverpool it’s always a cracking game as both sides play football and don’t park any buses

    • maccathered 7 years ago

Wow calm down lads lol,its not against the law to tip against Tottenham now is it??i appreciate you find it offensive as its your team but there is no malice in me tipping it whatsoever and i stand by my tip wholeheartedly.for anyone who likes to play safe +0.5 asian handicap looks good also.

    • scottsaa 7 years ago

Your not being offensive, good to see other people’s prospective on games, like the Arsenal game, keep it up mate

    • craigyboy 7 years ago

If this is at Wembley I can’t disagree with you @maccathered. Spurs have been rather unconvincing.

    • garry 7 years ago

Lol as a nuetral I cant believe you spurs fans are saying Walker disnt do much for you last season.
He was the best full back in the league with over 80% pass accuracy and was creating chances for fun. You think he was bought by city for no reason?
Danny rose and Kyle walker did a lot of work for you guys last season. Trippier has also been decent replacement but he lacks experience.
Without and Rose and Walker this season you can tell you are not as ruthless as last season.
Not saying this position will decide who will win next weekend but the way spurs play you defo miss walker and rose.

    • wiggle 7 years ago

I only took exception to the point “BEAT them wherever” its simply not true. We are third in the league and you will win the league if every week you win 1-0! mac was calling a win and -1, I would make them and couldn’t argue if he said DC at best. You can tip against Spurs anytime if stats and positive reasoning is used , I think mac was tipping “emotionally”

    • maccathered 7 years ago

Thats not true, you wont win the league if you win 1 nil every week not whilst city are banging in 5 every week?????

    • wiggle 7 years ago

Again, that’s not true. They could bang in 5 goals every week but if they lose 6-5??

    • wiggle 7 years ago

And you would win the league if you won every game 1-0, any of the rest would’ve lost at least 2 games!

    • maccathered 7 years ago

Hallellujah someone agrees walker was influential for tottenham.

    • wiggle 7 years ago

I wasn’t saying he wasn’t influential, in the latter part of the season he wasn’t due to not being in squad, injury or on the bench. Will Liverpool miss Mane?? against us Lallana seemed to be good will Liverpool miss him??

tuff going atm onwards though onto the nite owl…………

    vasco & antofagasta btts 5/2

  96. liamw 7 years ago

1/2 a point on Vasco de Gama exactly 1 goal @6/4

I usually take cover when doing this sort of bet if the team I’m on score and I can still get a return at around evens or above by covering them to get another.

    • liamw 7 years ago

that’s 1-0 VDG and cover available @7/2 on over 1.5 tgls allowing profit above evens to be made on the original bet with cover in place

Heading over to Chile for the Night Owl and a game I hope will have goals high on the agenda…

UNIVERSIDAD CATÓLICA VS. DEPORTES IQUIQUE (0030 KO):

No time for a detailed write-up but this is a fixture that has stood me in good stead in recent seasons – match goals in the last 6 H2H’s indicate why: 2-6-4-2-6-5…not too shabby and fingers crossed we’ll see something similar!

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…13/10
    ???

    OVER 3.5 MGS…9/4
    ??

    and for the speculative punter:

    OVER 4.5 MGS…5/1
    ?

    Good luck.
