THAT'S Tony Mowbray off the Christmas card list after Blackburn bombed most of Monday's lines.
The concensus was Rovers would comfortably beat Wigan but the game ended in a dull 0-0 draw – the fourth scoreless live TV match I've watched since Saturday lunchtime.
It started with Cardiff v Preston and Everton v Arsenal followed by Liverpool v Flamengo in 90 minutes. Four scoreless games – now that would have nice fourfold but really when you're watching on the telly all you want are goals.
It was going to be a no bet day but Blackburn's price and other people's confidence persuaded me to take them -1 as a Super Single.
Anyway that's it until Boxing Day and some of my tips and previews for a big card will be posted later adn Desmond's doing a Boxing Day goals special.

Good article and as Paul Fairhead notes its a frustrating outcome.
Fairhead also said in a recent tweet that he now screenshots every bet he places because of the numerous problems he’s seen. I now do the same after an incident with one such bookmaker. I’d recommend all punters do likewise

That is a very interesting read. Bookies really should be governed more stringently because they seem to do what they want a lot of the time.
The other day I had a treble bet builder with 365.
It was 3 matches to have over 1 goal and over 8 corners and next to one of the game’s which finished with 5 goals and 14 corners they placed the word void.
One leg of the bet lost as it happens so I didn’t waste my time arguing about their unethical behaviour But had it come in I was ready for the mother of all arguments with them.
Funny enough yesterday’s Times had a very interesting article about Bet 365, the boss who pays herself millions per year and the algorithm she developed that anyone looking likely to win any significant amounts of money from them will suddenly find their accounts restricted.
The betting industry really needs a strict governing body and huge financial penalties to be enforced on those companies that bend the rules.
That said, I really like Bet 365’s site. It’s well laid out, the communication of your bets progress is very good and the fact you can use BetBuilder on most matches is great.
The bet builder is a fun way of having a lottery bet. 3 x 100/1 = £1 million return (unlikely but less random then picking 6 numbers).
The bottom line is anyone dreaming of making a regular significant income from betting, will find themselves banned or restricted as soon as they come up with a winning system .

Maccabi Haifa v Hapoel Haifa
Recent form and bookie odds suggest a home win, but the recent H2H of this rivalry points to value in the outsiders.
Hapoel haven’t lost in TEN meetings in all competitions with Maccabi, aside from one draw that ended in defeat via penalties. They have won FOUR times across those games, with three of those coming away from home and seeing them score 3 goals in the process.
They drew the reverse fixture 0-0 in August, which was a repeat of the scoreline from the meeting at Hapoel’s place last season. In this fixture last season Hapoel won 3-1 at Maccabi’s place to claim a great victory, and while a repeat of that isn’t likely, there’s more than enough to suggest they can come away with something again.
Their last four away games against Maccabi Haifa read like this: 3-1, 3-0, 2-2, 3-0.
Hapoel have the worse form and are the worse team, but this is a derby match let’s remember. And they have only lost one of their last 7 away games, and that was to the untouchable table toppers from Tel Aviv.
Hapoel scored five in their last match, away at admittedly the leakiest team in the league, but that at least suggests they have their shooting boots on and some confidence in front of goal coming into this one.

Always do the boost Macc with lads at work. But I do think there’s some doubts. U would go with Chelsea and I suppose Everton team would want to prove a point to the new manager but Burnley, on their day, can prove a point to anybody. Watford are finding some steel but maybe not the Sheffield type (yeah, I know). It’s a doable boost but I wouldn’t say nailed on. Hope it is mind.
