IT was a Super Sunday as I completed another £10 to £1000 challenge.

The last couple of bets are the easiest on paper yet the toughest due to the high stakes involved. At the start the target is to get to £1000 so there's no stopping early and often I have to remind myself all I'm going to lose is a tenner.

That's difficult when the final stake's in the region of £850 – and my advice to anyone playing along is to always consider taking the money.

This time of course it was a team effort with three selections being posted on Twitter for a public vote. Two of three Sunday selections won so well done to everyone who voted for over 1.5 match goals at Werder Bremen v RB Leipzig.

At Christmas we gave away £500 each to two Gold members and the £1000 will again go to Gold members but this time we're thinking about giving away some tickets to exciting events so keep your eyes peeled.

My Super Single was also a winner yesterday thanks to Newcastle +1 and PSV +1 and with both winning that would have been a nice straight double.

The Top Treble lost early thanks to Fiorentina but would have been demolished by Man United's shocking display against West Brom.

I was disappointed with the btts treble. After Sassuolo and Werder Bremen landed I was let down by the Rome derby while the others on my shortlist at PSG, Schalke, Admira and Feyenoord all landed. The Rome derby could have been covered but I was hoping to net the full 7pts.

That's how it goes sometimes and hopefully I'll have a good acca up this week to get the stats back on track.

Well done to all the winners on Sunday and good luck for Monday. It's a quiet one with West Ham v Stoke, Mainz v Freiburg, Rio Ave v Tondela and some Irish games.

West Ham will be well backed at evens and the more I've looked at the stats the more convinced I am they'll win. Davie Moyes's men have recovered from those dreadful scenes at home to Burnley to beat Southampton 3-0 then draw at Chelsea.

Stoke, meanwhile, are looking down and out after just one win under Paul Lambert and four defeats in a row since drawing 0-0 with Saints.

Four of the last five playings of this one have finished level so I'm taking West Ham draw no bet and doubling them with Mainz not to lose.

Unibet blogger Raphael Honingstein has posted a good preview on the game and makes a case for Mainz as well as both scoring in a game between two sides battling the drop.

For a Super Single I've decided to go with West Ham's Marko Arnautovic at 22-5 with Marathonbet to score first. The ex-Stoke striker has hit three in his last three home games including a double against Southampton and will be right up for this one.

Remember to check out welovebetting for their latest tips and betting blogs.

watched some of the Rome derby and they could have played for another 5 hours and neither team would have netted ….

    • maccathered 6 years ago

Not sure what people were expecting in such a game, given their league positions no one was going to give anything away.

    • wasclueless 6 years ago

true – also given they only play 60mins as well – as 30 mins is spent rolling around on the turf ;)

  8. maccathered 6 years ago

    West Ham v Stoke
    Under 2.5 goals at 8/11
    Mainz v Frieburg
    Under 2.5 goals at 4/7

As a rule i don’t do unders but can’t ignore these two games chances probably hard to come by in these two.
    Best of luck.

Congrats on the £10-£1000 Mr F, great stuff

My 2 main accas were downed yesterday – should’ve know not to back my own team. Going from the derby win to wilting like a wet lettuce against the bottom of the table side sums up the season really lol.

    Gd morning everyone …
Few things I’d like to mention, 1stly, well done to my beloved Manchester City for winning the league yesterday, with 5 games to spare (cheers Man Utd) ? lol love us or hate us? A great achievement in anyone’s eyes ?
2ndly Well done Mr F on the £1000 challenge completed, (hopefully the next 1 will be advertised on here, wen it’s starting on Twitter again?)
3rd everyone on the site keep up the good work, best site out there by far ?

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

The challenge is mentioned almost every day but the reason it’s on Twitter is because it’s a vote and it’s worked really well. Social media is part of what we have to do.

    • bluemooner1894 6 years ago

Nps at all , I’ll look forward to the next 1 ?

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

  14. jimba 6 years ago

  15. leroy 6 years ago

Well done Mr F. Never an easy feat!

I like the look of a late afternoon game in the AFC CL. Al-Rayyan and Al-Ain both have a chance to qualify with this game somewhat of a knockout game in the grand scheme of things. Al-Rayyan have mostly been dominated on the stats throughout the group (less possession, attempts, and so on), but still bagged in each game until losing 2-0 at first place Esteghal last time out.

However, they netted twice in both home games so far, including against Esteghal, and domestically their home games are typically full of goals (28 scored, 20 conceded in 11 games).

Al-Ain have drawn 4 of their 5 group games, with BTTS landing in 4 of the 5, too. The reverse saw a 1-1 draw in Al-Ain back in February and I’m thinking we might see a similar affair here. Chancing the extra goal, though.

There was only one real sweat – Cardiff draw no bet at Sheffield Utd – plus a couple of shaky ones but most landed easily. Fair play to everyone who voted because of course there were some losers included in the selections but not chosen.

Well done on the challenge! I’ll have to follow next time.

I’m having a lot of bets downed by surprising draws at the moment, I suppose that’s part of the season coming to an end. Five 0:0s in Serie A at the weekend. Just like the old Football Italia days!

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

You’re right – Serie A is generally good for goals whereas in the past it was all 1-0s and 0-0s.
Just a cautious note on the challenge – last time I completed it the next bet lost!

  21. aceofspades 6 years ago

Olympiakos president Evangelos Marinakis ordered its under-performing players to go on holiday until the end of the season and fined the team £350,000 . He said very few in the current squad will be retained for the final three matches of the campaign, with replacements to be called up from the U20 team.

I and the rest of the fans have tolerated you enough. You think more about the nice houses you live in and your cars . You will leave today and go on holiday.

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Does that make Kerkyra a good bet at 16-1 tonight? I don’t know.
Olympiakos win and they’re just one point outside CL qualification.
Also have a new boss so who knows how they’ll respond.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

They finally got the premier league title and what a way to get it,played some great football akin to Liverpool’s style but not as good, next season is going to be interesting indeed,Man City 8/11 to retain it but i don’t think they will,Liverpool 5/1 and thats where my money will be going,it’s all down to the fixture list of course as consistency is key in winning any league and Man City were certainly that, before Virgil Van Djik arrived Liverpool were terrible defensively but now they have one of the most sound defenses, better than City’s and with the vast amount of money thats going to be spent in the summer and already Neiby Kieta signed, the 5/1 on offer looks very appealing,i can’t see Man Utd challenging unless they break the bank as they need a massive overhaul, for me it’s between two teams and that;s City and Liverpool, also worth remembering that the afformetioned teams already have squads that are well gelled and used to playing with each other, where as any signings made by Chelsea,Man Utd,Arsenal, etc have to bed in.5/1 looks a good bet.

    • bluemooner1894 6 years ago

Have to agree to most of that Macca … except “not as good” lol
The old glasses on again mate I see ? lol
      In terms of Trophys…
      MANCHESTER CITY 2 ??
      LIVERPOOL 0
      Mmmmmmmmm ??

    • maccathered 6 years ago

We proved were better last week beating you home and away easily. As for trophies we are on a bigger stage at the minute the holy grail of football, the biggest prize of them all.If we win it the best team in the land lol.

    • bluemooner1894 6 years ago

Yea IF is a BIG word …. ??? Lol
As for beating us home & away, decisions went against us, @ crucial times in the games, which cldve completely turned the result around, but they nvr & as I’ve said before, the best of luck in the rest of the competition mate ?

    • maccathered 6 years ago

We have beat you three out of four games this season, the only reason we lost at your place was because Mane got sent off.You can’t say beating you three times was lucky lol or the ball was not the right one.

    • earl 6 years ago

Individual matches can give a useful indication, but City are 20 points ahead. Pep has introduced the mentality to do the business week in, week out, which LFC can’t do yet. I’ll be on City again next year. And a tenner on Sane for Ballon D’Or.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

The point is Liverpool are doing the business week in week out,Klopp has also shown he has a plan b which has been good to see,and clean sheets are now becoming a common thing, unbeaten in the league at Anfield this season,i fully expect consistency next season, and it should be a lot closer than this season thats for sure.

    • elvis parsley 6 years ago

Klopp like pochettino has done well but the currency of success is trophies.
Both trophy cabinets remain empty, though they might be dusted down if Liverpool and spurs win their respective cups this season.

    • maccathered 6 years ago

I can assure you elvis Liverpools trophy cabinet isn’t empty.

    • earl 6 years ago

If Liverpool can hang on to Salah and buy a keeper as good as Ederson then we’ll have a contest next year.

    Belting stuff Mr F ???

    Icelandic Yoof action this evening…

    KR U19 VS. FRAM / ÚLFARNIR U19 (2100 KO):

The combined goals totals for both teams last 4 games is 41 with KR seeing 5-7-7-5 and Fram seeing 8-0-5-4…not too shabby!

This will be the 4th H2H in recent years with totals of 2-5-5 in the previous 3 – KR are the leading side of the two and account for 10 of those 12 goals.

Limited markets but with 5 goals a reasonable target I’m happy to take on 365‘s asian goal line:

Long time no post guys, just having a look at the West Ham v Stoke game and think that cards markets are very generously priced. Booking points wise you can get 2/1 for 50+ and 2/1 for each team 20+.
This is such a big game and I think especially in the second half I think we will see 3 or 4 alone? Just wanted to see what everyone thought?

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Who’s the ref and what are his stats like?

    • crooks 6 years ago

Referee is Micheal Oliver, gave out 95 cards (90 yellow, 5 red).
Averages 3.65 cards including the reds which are obviously a few more points but even 3.46 without the reds. He’s refereed Stoke 3 times and give 8 cards in that time then West Ham twice and gave 5 cards to them. He’s not a shy referee if we all cast our minds back to last week ahahaha!!

Rahm’s a top player but as Ace said he was extremely short at about 7-2 to win it.

Micheal Oliver got them cards glued to his pocket because of last week? Shambles this, Cameron has came on and made 4 fouls and 2 of them were straight yellow cards in anyways…

Pretty sure it was 2 shots for Arnautovic, needed 3! He was very poor tonight, effected West Ham massively!

    West Ham v Stoke
    Under 2.5 goals at 8/11
    Mainz V freiburg
    Under 2.5 goals at 4/7
    Double pays 1.7/1 (NAP) (WON)
Well done all winners looks like there’s a good few.

VAR rears it’s ugly head in the Mainz game. Handball not given and ref blows for halftime. Teams go off the pitch. Ref told to check VAR and gives pen. Teams have to come back out for pen to be taken. Mainz score pen then teams go back in for halftime ?

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

      Saw that – mental.

    • sless1903 6 years ago

I thought the bear giving the ball to ref in Russia would be the strangest thing in football I’d see today but I think this beats it.

      @mr-fixit
Probably had bookies going through their T&Cs, Paul, and working out if it was a first half or second half goal ?

    8-0 in Iceland ?

    GL 4.0, 4.5…1.775
    ??? ?

    …and Coral’s

    OVER 4.5 MGS…4/5
    ??? ?

    OVER 5.5 MGS…33/20
    ? ?

    Well done all winners.
