August Bank Holiday Monday means there’s a full card of fixtures in the National League today, all kicking-off at 3pm.

Bury are getting ridiculous crowds for the north west counties league.

It’s a long road back but if crowds stay high money comes in and hopefully is reinvested in the team.
Macclesfield started the same road a couple of years ago and their crowds have stayed high once the novelty of a new club wire off so hopefully conference north in 3/4 years.

M McDonald to beat F Auger-Aliassime @ 2.20 William Hill (NB)
I struggle to understand based on form why Auger-Aliassime is the favourite in this one. He has been awful for most of the season & has lost in recent matches to Watanuki, Purcell & Mannarino. He has been struggling to rally beyond 4/5 shots without making an error. I just feel this is a bad match up for him. McDonald will get plenty of balls back & will unlikely give much away. Auger-Aliassime hasn’t been serving that well so I do feel McDonald will get chances to break. For me the odds should be reversed so I have to make a play.

Dellien’s form on hard courts is horrific to say the least. He has also played just one match on the surface in 2 years this being a 6-4 7-5 6-0 loss to Couacaud at this years Australian Open. Gojo was impressive in qualifying especially in beating Machac without losing serve. Gojo has a big serve and powerful game and should be far too good on this surface against a player who is a pure clay courter. I would not be surprised if Gojo holds his serve throughout this and may not even face many if any break points.
