Monday’s Football Tips: Goals on the cards as Leicester City face Tottenham test on Premier League return

Leicester City bounced back up to the Premier League at the first attempt but have been installed as favourites for the drop ahead of their opener at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Foxes won the Championship last term, but they have since lost manager Enzo Maresca and star player Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea.

Former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper has taken the reins and looks to have made a few smart signings, but will it be enough to steer them clear of a relegation battle?

We'll get an early indication of how they are shaping up against a Tottenham side who are looking to push on in Ange Postecoglou's second season.

The campaign petered out for Spurs last term after an explosive start but fans remain firmly behind the Aussie as they love his style of football.

Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur top betting tips

Goals are usually guaranteed with this Tottenham side as Postecoglou plays high-risk football with a high defensive line. BTTS and over 2.5 goals came up in 26 of their games last season so combining those bets should pay off tonight, although the odds aren't great at just 4/5 with Betfred.

Villarreal vs Atletico Madrid top betting tips

Atletico Madrid have been splashing the cash this summer to gear up for a La Liga title assault so it will be interesting to see how they get on in their opener at Villarreal.

Julian Alvarez, Robin Le Normand and Alexander Sorloth are the three big-money signings and they raided Villarreal to snap up the Norwegian.

Sorloth bagged 28 goals last term, including four in one game against Real Madrid, so looks worth a punt for anytime scorer at 5/4 up against his old club.

Villarreal are no mugs and finished eighth last season so this will be a test for Diego Simeone's men. The half-time draw pays 13/10 and that could be another shrewd move.

Juventus vs Como top tips

Juventus are another team who have been busy in the transfer market as new manager Thiago Motta tries to stamp his mark on the squad.

The Turin giants have won the Serie A title since 2020 but they should be among the title contenders this term.

Promoted Como are the visitors for their opener and Betfred make Juve 1/3 hot favourites with the minnows as big as 9/1.

It's hard finding value on Juventus but I like the 11/10 available for Motta's side to score in both halves.

Dane Oliver Abildgaard is likely to anchor Como's midfield and he appeals at 13/8 to go into the book.
