Monday’s Football Tips: Fleetwood Town out to pile on the pain for Morecambe

Fleetwood Town have made a slow start to their League Two promotion push but a win over whipping boys Morecambe tonight would lift them up the table.

The Cod Army were relegated last season and boss Charlie Adam is looking to take them back up at the first attempt. But Fleetwood have won just two of their first five games so a victory is a must when rock-bottom Morecambe come calling.

Morecambe comfortably avoided the drop last term as they finished in 15th but are propping up the pile now after taking just one point from their first six matches.

Derek Adams is back at the helm for a third time after his ill-fated return to Ross County turned sour. He infamously claimed the standard in County's top-flight clash with Dundee was 100 times worse than what he was used to at Morecambe but if results don't pick up then the Shrimps will be playing non-league football next term.

Fleetwood Town vs Morecambe top betting tips

Adams' side have been strong at home this term, with Championship outfit West Brom and League One Rotherham among their victims in the EFL Cup. They took another Championship team all the way to penalties in their last outing as Stoke pipped them at the Bet365 Stadium.

So it's no surprise to see Fleetwood Town as Betano's 4/7 hot favourites, with Morecambe as big as 19/5. There has been a slight upturn in form for the Shrimps though with their last three in all competitions producing one win, one draw and a defeat.

Morecambe's last outing was a 3-3 thriller with Colchester and Fleetwood won 3-2 at Carlisle in their last league game so going for goals might be the best option tonight. Over 2.5 strikes pays 4/5 but if you combine that with BTTS it boost the odds to 13/10. Over 3.5 goals on its own is 2/1.

Irish striker Ronan Coughlan has been in good form for Town, with three goals in six games, and is 31/20 for anytime scorer at Betano.

Real Betis vs Real Mallorca top tips

There's one game in La Liga tonight and it's a mid-table battle as Real Mallorca head to Seville to take on Real Betis.

These sides have both collected eight points so far but Mallorca have played a game more so it's no great surprise to see Betis as Betano's 5/6 favourites with home advantage.

Manuel Pellegrini's men are unbeaten in four outings at the Benito Villamarin this term, with their last three at home ending in wins. It won't be easy against Mallorca though as they've lost just two of their six games and held Real Madrid to a draw on day one.

Only one of Mallorca's games has seen over 2.5 goals so a Betis victory with under 2.5 strikes might be worth a look here at 23/10 in a bet builder with Betano. That bet has also landed in the last three meetings.

Eight yellow cards were flashed in Betis' last game so there could also be some value in backing over 4.5 cards at 13/8.

Atalanta vs Como top betting tips

Atalanta are showing signs of sparking their season into life and are hot favourites tonight as Como come calling in Serie A.

After the joy of winning the Europa League last term, there was a hangover for Gian Piero Gasperini's men as they lost three of their first four games in all competitions in the new campaign.

But they beat Fiorentina 3-2 at home at last weekend and followed that up by claiming a creditable draw to Arsenal in the Champions League.

Only a missed penalty stopped them from beating the Gunners too and Betano make them 2/5 hot favourites to defeat a Como side who have gone five games without a win.

Three of those matches have ended in draws though and Como netted twice last weekend in a  2-2 stalemate with Bologna. That makes me think BTTS stands a chance tonight, although the odds aren't great at 31/40. An Atalanta win with over 2.5 goals is probably better at 21/20 with Betano.

Charles De Ketalaere  looked a threat against the Gunners and the Belgian is 6/4 for anytime scorer tonight.
