BIRMINGHAM did well to hold an impressive Blackpool side to one goal last week and there is every chance of them overturning the deficit tonight.
Chris Hughton's men finished the season strongly, particularly at home, and Blackpool may pay the penalty for missing chances.
Any one-goal Brum win will force extra time in this Championship play-off semi-final second leg and that's my call.
Birmingham are a biggest 10-11 with William Hill and Paddy Power to win in 90 minutes with Blackpool 10-3 at bet365 and Ladbrokes. If it goes to extra time it's anyone's guess as to who qualifies and Blackpool are 8-13 at William Hill with City 11-8 at bet365.
In Scotland we have the semi-finals of the SFL play-offs and best bets could be Elgin at home to Albion Rovers. Elgin finished the season strongly with a fine 3-1 win at Queen's Park while Rovers missed out on a chance to survive by losing at home to relegated Stirling.
Elgin have won 11 at home this season and have netted eight in their last three matches while conceding in their last seven. They are a best x-x with blah to carve out a first-leg lead.
The First Division play-off sees Ayr United travel to Airdrie and I fancy the Somerset Park men. Ayr reached the semi-finals of the League Cup and had a decent season in a tough league despite being part-time.
Airdrie are boosted by the return of top scorer Ryan Donnelly amd skipper Paul Lovering but Ayr could be too good. They are 7-5 at Ladbrokes.
Dumbarton face Arbroath in the Div Two play-off with the four regular season games between the sides producing 21 goals. It was 4-3 Arbroath and 3-2 Dumbarton at the Strathclyde Homes Stadium I can see this being a score draw with Arbroath probably winning at home. They are 8-13 at BetVictor to qualify.
Finally, Stranraer face a side they must have wished they'd seen their back off. Queen's Park have won all four of the clubs' meetings this season and must fancy five in row against a side that's lost five in a row. Queen's are 7-4 at Ladbrokes to win tonight and 4-6 with BetVictor to qualify.
All season there have been goals galore in the SFL and I don't think you'll be too far away if you backed both teams to score in all four ties. The fourfold pays a best £64.10 to a £10 stake at William Hill while adding the Europa League Final take sit £109.

Peter, as I’ve said I’m going to take them all and perm them with maybe Elgin v Albion Rovers the one I doubt most. But remember first legs can be cagey. Airdrie v Ayr and Dumbarton v Arbroath should have goals and I’d expect Stranraer v Queen’s Park to produce as well.

Joe, it’s just my opinion, you should always go with your own gut feeling. I think it’s a tough call tonight and I’ve only picked Athletic because I’ve been impressed with them all the way through the tournament. I wouldn’t write off Atletico at all.
