IT'S the start of the Premiership play-offs on Saturday and McBookie are offering 8-15 one of the Championship clubs will win the final against a top-flight side – probably Motherwell but maybe Kilmarnock.

The firm make the Premiership club the 11-8 favourite once the four teams are broken down. It means Hibs and Rangers are both 9-4 with Queen of the South 12-1.

McBookie spokesman Paul Petrie said: “At the odds you can back all three Championship clubs at around 8-15 to be promoted. However, it is whoever finishes in 11th that we think has the best chance to playing next year in the Premiership.”

It means it is currently 1-3 Rangers will be playing next year in the Championship ahead of their away quarter-final tie with Queen of the South on Saturday.

Meanwhile, William Hill's Owen Scott has put together some specials based on stats – and remember these are not tips although his Friday one came in at 3-1.
