MAY 4: BETWAY ENHANCED TOP TREBLE

THE Super Singles have been a big success recently but the top trebles could have done better – with Southampton letting us down last weekend.

I was torn between going for a safeish line this weekend or giving it a real go.

There are plenty of issues still to be resolved even though we've reached the League One and Two play-offs

All Championship games kick off at 12.45pm with one promotion place, two play-offs spots and two relegation places still to be decided.

In the SFL it's all about sealing a promotion play-off or avoiding a relegation one and my safeish treble could have come from Watford, Bolton, Dunfermline, Elgin and Forfar – all sides desperate for a home win.

However, proper punters know about these teams so I'm going for one that pays much bigger and I have to start with Aston Villa at Norwich.

Villa were superb in winning 6-1 against Sunderland and on Monday and could be a decent outfit next season if they stay up and strengthen the defence. They've got no trouble scoring goals, led by hat-trick hero Christian Benteke, and on current form will be too strong for Norwich.

Paul Lambert guided his men to a 4-1 win on his return to Carrow Road in the Capital One Cup and can notch up another win in front of fans who used to adore him.

Next take Stenhousemuir to beat Stranraer in a Scottish Second Division game where both sides have it all to play for. A win could put Stenny into the play-offs but it's not in their hands.

Stranraer probably need just a point to avoid a relegation play-off but you have to favour a Stenny side who have won four in a row, scoring at least two a game, against a Blues outfit with just two points in their last five outings.

Complete the treble with a side that's got nothing to play for but who are playing nothing. Fulham's only incentive is to climb a few places but they are usually good value and should beat a Reading side whe went down last week without a whimper.

Reading were as poor as they've been all season and will be low in confidence against an outfit who will be desperate to get back on track after losing four of their last five.
