ANDY MURRAY is the sole Brit left standing at the French Open after Aljaz Bedene fell to world No.1 Novak Djokovic.
Scots star Murray cut giant Ivo Karlovic down to size in the last round and now faces another beanpole, America's John Isner, for a place in the quarters.
Murray has won all five of their previous encounters and is just 1-9 at marathonbet to progress. The British No.1 has already been taken to two five setters by lesser lights at this year's French Open so there may be mileage in over 3.5 sets in this one at 11-8 with bet365.
A bet worth a look is a tiebreak in the match. All five head-to-heads between these two players have had at least one tiebreak and same again today pays 4-11 at Skybet and bet365.
The day's other matches at the French Open include defending champ Stan Wawrinka against Viktor Troicki while in the women's singles Simona Halep and Agnieszka Radwanska look to book a last-eight spot.
On the F1 track Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo claimed the first pole of his career for today's Monaco Grand Prix while England's cricketers continue their second Test against Sri Lanka.
I'm (Scott Allot) now back from holiday – thanks to admin for manning the fort while I was away – so there'll be a new sports thread put up every day and as usual let's hear all your sporting tips and chat.
WAAAAARIOOOORRRRRRRS!!
May I take this moment to thank Klay Thompson for being an absolute beast!
Game 7 on Monday in Oakland !
Fantastic last quarter. Come on the warriors! ?
@jordan being OKC fan must just be for show then
Have you not seen how much I’ve got on the Warriors?
Klay Thompson ….. ????
Jordan woop woop back in the game come on warriors don’t let us down now ??
Thompson and Curry on fire last night what a 4th quarter that was! Another great day of sport today with Bellew looking to finally get that world title against a scarily dangerous Ilunga Makabu in what is set to be a cracking fight. I have picked out some picks from the UFC as we have fight night 88 from Vegas with two of the brightest prospects in the UFC Almeida and Garbrandt facing off…..SOMEBODY’S 0 HAS TO GOOOOO!!!!
I picked Miocic last time out to upset Werdum but i bet points and he ended up knocking him out so hopefully things click this time and i can land a few winners.
NAP ——- Renan Barao via decision 23/10
Tentative NAP here but i feel its the best odds to NAP up as the rest of my selections are hovering around EVS. Barao stepping up a weight class here trying to get himself back on track after two crushing TKO losses to TJ Dillashaw. Jeremy Stephens will have power in comparison to what Barao has faced but he tends to fall short when it comes to high level fighters. Barao to stay out of range and pick Stephens apart for three rounds.
NB ——– Ilunga Makabu by TKO 6/5
This is going to be a great fight at Goodison park as Bellew takes on the monster that is Makabu. Bellew has the big fight experience but it is hard to ignore a man that hits like a double decker bus! I don’t think Bellew has the class to avoid that left hand for 12 rounds. Makabu inside 8 rounds.
Double ———– Thomas Almeida by KO/TKO 11/10
Trujillo by KO/TKO EVS
Treble ———— Jorge Masvidal EVS
Chris Camozzi on points 13/5
Tarec Saffidine on points 11/10
