THE top three in the Irish league face the bottom three tonight with a treble paying a biggest just under 2-1 at William Hill.

It's not great odds but probably worth taking on. Unbeaten leaders Sligo, who have raced into an eight-point lead at the top after nine wins in their first 12 games, travel to third bottom UCD who have conceded 22 goals in their opening 12 games and haven't won in six. Take Sligo at a biggest 8-15 at William Hill.

Second-top St Patrick's face second bottom Dundalk who have lost their last four and the home side must win to at least make Sligo sweat. St Pat's are 3-10 with William Hill.

Third-place Shamrock Rovers head for basement boys Monaghan boosted by a 3-0 win over Drogheda that ended a run of four games without a win. Monaghan have lost four and drawn one of their five homes games, scoring just once. Take Rovers at a best 1-2 with Coral (4-9 at Hills).

If you need to boost the odds my fourth choice would be Derry at home to Bray. Derry have won their last two so will be in good spirits but Bray are tough to beat which is why it's not in my treble. Derry are 8-13 at William Hill.

Well mr fixit I’m Irish and go to the odd game this leaguers is as unpredictable as any.the 3 teams posted above should win but there is no value and st pats at 1/4 is a joke don’t get me wrong the prob will win but this league is dodgy.the champions shamrock rovers haven’t been in great form they got a pasting from Sligo couple of weeks ago they are lookin a very good side.im going for ucd – Sligo over 2.5 goals and Monaghan -shamrock over 2.5 goals.good luck

Sways, I know what you’re saying but for those who like to follow the coupons there’s not much else on tonight. I’m risking the treble in the hope St Patrick’s and Shamrock see them as must-win games. Sligo should certainly do it but what about Derry if I wanted to add them?

  2. craig alves 12 years ago

agree with sways comments, was looking at this last night to add in acca but not really worth the risk at they prices. think derrys main striker is a doubt too so never touched them, had st pat’s last wk and they drew 3-3 with bray. only single on osters again for me, goin with form they shld win comfortably

  3. Peter Brown 12 years ago

Am going st pats-1 Sligo shamrock and throwing in elsborg for 63 back for tenner @ William hill

    Good luck

Peter, I’m waiting on Elfsborg for the four aways I put up on Sunday. Montpellier, PSG and Bordeaux all won so I might stick a few quid on the draw as at Sundsvall as a saver.

  4. Sways play of the day 12 years ago

Derry are playing bray who have improved a lot this year and are unbeaten in last 5 or so games I think tough one mr fixit there is no bankers tonight in my eyes but Sligo, shamrock and st pats should win as you posted above but rarely to all the favourites win in this league.

    add a bit of value

    elfsborg -1
    sligo -2
    shamrock-1

Glad to see another punter going for osters in a single tonight! Shame there is no real value to be had in the Irish matches, unless opting to dip into the handicap markets! Nevertheless less, a win and any profit gained is better than a bet that has great value but loses!

  7. Sways play of the day 12 years ago

I took over 2.5 goals in the osters match

  8. Luke 12 years ago

Craig, what made you do a single on osters? Sway, would you have sided with them if you had to pick an outcome?

  9. craig alves 12 years ago

had a look at form on soccerway when i seen them at evens then had it confirmed by a guy twitter. no win in 4 for brage and osters top of league, had them last wk single too

  10. Luke 12 years ago

Would this guy be ‘steels’ by any chance?

  11. Sways play of the day 12 years ago

Would have to go with osters according to current form

  12. craig alves 12 years ago

    it would indeed luke haha

Hi Paul how you doing mate? Not posted for a few weeks as I’ve had a lot on. Just thought I’d throw a Euro 2012 tip out there for everyone on a night where theres not much on.

Germany to make the semi’s (9/10) at bwin. The price is much shorter everywhere else, 1/2 in a lot of cases. Although the Germans are in a tough group (group B) with Holland and Portugal, I would expect them to claim first or second place. Now hear is the good bit… 1st and 2nd in group B will play 2nd and 1st respectively in Group A in the quarter finals. This means Germany will play Greece, Czech Rep, Russia or Poland for a place in the semi’s. Simple. The price is sure to get cut.

The same logic can of course apply to folk who fancy Holland or even Portugal for that matter.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Marc, I get what you are saying but they might not get cut too much because the group is so tough. If they lose to Holland or Portugal they could be struggling and I wonder if Bayern Munich’s defeat, especially the manner of it, will affect their confidence. For sure it’s an easy looking quarter if they get there. I’ll start looking seriously at the Euros next week.

3-0 or 2-1 osters would be ideal all round! Steels getting quite a name for himself lately!

  16. craig alves 12 years ago

not looking like our night, 15 mins to go to snatch a winner

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Craig, well done to you and everyone else who took Osters. I’m hoping Elfsborg’s win to bring up four aways at just over 11-1 was backed by a few. Irish games not looking good but that’s one reason I usually stay clear of them. Don’t know if I’ll revisit.

    OSTERSSSSSSS

  18. joe knotts 12 years ago

Took sligo shamrock and st pats -1

  19. McGart 12 years ago

nice craig last min goal so what is your balance now on your 30 day bet?

  20. craig alves 12 years ago

took 50 out last night cos am rooked and only had £3 on them tonight, put winnings on treble derry sligo and st pats with winnings so after tonoight it’ll be £0.00 haha

  21. pedro 12 years ago

St pats did me on friday. 4/7 and drew 3 each.

  22. McGart 12 years ago

Yip not looking good. Thinking about euro 2012 maybe start with £10 which would be day 11 and chuck it after day 20. Retuns 5,000 plus. That would get me a nice tv for the final lol. I had an 80+/1 last sunday then a 2/1 sunday nite then an even money on monday and 2/1 tuesday and a 7/2 on wed. If only i would have knew about the impossible bet a week sooner i could have been half way there lol!

  23. craig alves 12 years ago

elfsburg won 3-0 nil paul, think it was 6pm kick off. yeah, ur right bout staying away from irish league, wld be alright if they were half decent prices. i was still gettin 1/4 3/10 & 8/13 derry after 20mins

  24. McGart 12 years ago

Giving it a go craig probs crash and burn at first hurdel. Know nothing about these games. Will wake up in morning either 1 day closer to my target or five pounds lighter!

I’m 4 days, and 4 bets in, £3 has turned into £57.60. 4 more winning bets and I’ll be at around £1000, at which point I would bank £750, and gamble £250 on my next bet, then if that were to win, the £500 odd on another single! If that was to also win, I’d bank £750 again, and continue to look to do the same again! Although betting £500 sounds daunting, its all from an original £3 stake!

  26. Dave 12 years ago

I put 15p singles and 5p doubles on half time/full time home/away reverse on all 6 Irish games last night.£4.80.22/1,33/1,66/1.£250 return nice.

  27. Luke 12 years ago

VEry nice Dave!!…can anyone see any singles that are around the evens mark today!? May have to wait until tomorrow for my 5th bet

  28. craig alves 12 years ago
