May 12: Football Betting Preview

CELTIC are closing in an invincible season and face their toughest test at Aberdeen tonight.

The Dons would love to end Brendan Rodgers's unbeaten run but would prefer to wreck the Treble bid at Hampden at the end of the month.

While Aberdeen have all but clinched second spot they've netted just one goal in losing four times to the champions this season.

So while Celtic will be without Scott Brown I expect them to notch another win – and certainly avoid defeat.

The Hoops are a best 4-5 at McBookie and Ladbrokes to take the points and it could be close with Rodgers expressing concerns about the pitch. Celtic are 7-5 at Betway to win by one.

Aberdeen will be without Ryan Christie and Ryan Jack but will hope to put down a marker ahead of the Cup Final.

Celtic have conceded in all five league games since being crowned champs so both to score has a chance at 5-6 with 888sport.

I don't see Rodgers resting too many and one likely to start is Tom Rogic. He hit the winner at Pittodrie in the last league meeting there and is 29-10 at 888sport to sc0re and 15-2 at McBookie to net first.

Aberdeen are a biggest 19-5 with Betfred to win and the draw pays 3-1 at Marathonbet.

Dundee United are trying to rejoin the top flight and are no bigger than 1-10 to qualify for the play-off semi-finals after winning 2-1 at Morton on Tuesday.

It's a quick turnaround and United's strength in depth could be the key so back them to win again at 4-5 with Marathonbet.

In England Chelsea will clinch the title with a win at West Brom. They were impressive against Middlesbrough on Monday and I can't see them being stopped.

Take the Blues at 2-5 with Paddy Power and consider them to win to nil at 23-10 with McBookie gainst a side that's netted in just one of their last six.

Everton are a short price to beat Watford at home. Most of Romelu Lukaku's goals have come at Goodison and he's worth a look at 11-4 with Betfred to score first.
