WE finally kick winter into touch and hopefully can spring into the warmer weather with a winning SFL treble to put the smiles back on punters’ faces.

It’s been a difficult couple of weeks in the Irn-Bru divisions with some of the favoured teams coming a cropper.

But let’s hope we can get our homework right this weekend and come up with a decent line that will give the bookies a bashing.

We kick off in the Irn-Bru First Division and title-chasing Falkirk’s tricky trip to Somerset Park to face Ayr.

The Honest Men have impressed in cup competitions but their league form has left a lot to be desired and Steven Pressley’s Bairns will be hoping to keep their dream of playing SPL football next season alive by leaving Ayrshire with a hard-fought win.

Falkirk have struggled to find a real sense of consistency but last week’s 3-0 win at home to Queen of the South will have given them the belief they can do the business against some of the so-called smaller sides.

Pressley’s boys go into this encounter 19 points clear of the Somerset men and I reckon they will have Ayr singing the Blues. Go for a Falkirk win at 21-20 with boylesports and William Hill.

We stay in the First Division and concentrate on Ross County as they romp their way to the title.

This weekend they face up to Queen of the South and I can’t see Gus MacPherson’s men giving them too many problems.

Queens are without a win in their last five outings and despite being unlucky in some of those matches I can’t see past a County triumph. Take the three points to stay in Dingwall at 4-7 with boylesports, Coral, William Hill and BetVictor.

We move on to the Irn-Bru Second Division and Cowdenbeath’s trip to face Airdrie. The Blue Brazil are without a defeat in their last five matches – but two of those games finished up as draws.

Still, they will fancy their chances against a side they hammered 5-1 in their last journey to tNew Broomfield and as they are already 23 points ahead of this weekend’s rivals they will be confident of extending that gap even further.  Go for an away win for Beath at 1-1 with William Hill and bet365.
