Old Trafford, Monday, 8pm, live on Sky Sports 1

THERE were some strange results at the weekend – but I can't see Manchester United being the victims of another tonight.

A draw will lift the Red Devils back to the top of the table but I expect them to bank all three points against Fulham.

United have won five in a row in the league and seem to be moving into top gear just as Man City start to struggle.

As a result they are no bigger than 1-4 with boylesports to beat Martin Jol's men so the search is on for better value.

I'm sure United will win by at least two so consider them minus one goal at 4-6 at Blue Square while minus two pays 15-8 at Coral. The last six meetings of the sides at Old Trafford have seen United win by at least two.

And Sir Alex Ferguson’s romped to a 5-0 success at Craven Cottage. Another win to nil pays 1-1 with Skybet.

Wayne Rooney has hammered in 10 goals in his last eight games and is the natural pick for first scorer at 11-4 with Coral. To score at any time the England star is 7-10 at unibet.

Javier Hernandez is also in good form with six in eight and is 7-2 at Betfred and BetVictor to fire the opener.

Recommendations

Man Utd -2

(15-8, Coral)

Rooney to score first

(11-4, Coral)

Man utd -2 is 13/8 on coral now. It’s 7/4 on ladbrokes. How confident would you be on -2, what about man utd -1.5, -2 @ 1.9 on bet365.

Minus two is never a cert in any game. I’m happier with -1 which has come up in the last six Man Utd v Fulham fixtures. It depends on Man Utd’s mindset. If they go two up are they going to push on or take a breather and settle for what they have. Personally, I’ll take both bets then very carefully look at in-running markets. If -2 isn’t looking good I should be able to lay something off.

My super single for this week is

    Correct score

    Man Utd 5 – 0 Fulham

    bet 365 20 / 1

    better odds

    ladbrokes 25 / 1

Alan, good luck with that. I’m hoping United win by at least three. For anyone interested Super Single review will be posted later. There were 28 winners, including Wigan at Liverpool, before the Monday games so well done to everyone.

David, got the win as we all expected and thankfully it was Rooney with the goal. But you’re right they should have won that with plenty to spare with the amount of possession they had.

Still recovering from my weekend slaughtering

Chris, thought you would have taken the Rooney tip. Saved my night as I was also backing United on he handicaps but they were pretty wasteful.
