BRAGA are in top form in the Portuguese League with 12 wins on the spin and should make it a lucky 13 at home to Academica tonight (8.15pm).

Sporting have done brilliantly to keep pace with big two Porto and Benfica and will actually go top if they win.

Braga have been triumphant in all but one home game this season which explains a best price available of 1-3 at bet365 and BetVictor.

Academica haven't won in 10 so you have to fancy Braga minus one. They lost in the Portuguese Cup semis to Gil Vicente last week but their full focus is on the league.

Brazilian Lima, a 28-year-old late developer, is loving life at Braga after failing to impress with nine Brazilian clubs. He has netted 18 goals in 23 league outings and is 10-3 with bet365 to score first and 4-5 to net at any time. Consider him at 15-4 with the same firm to bag two or more.

The other game in Portugal sees Gil Vicente try to take their cup form to Maritimo (6pm). As well as knocking out Braga they beat Sporting Lisbon 2-0 in the league recently but have only notched two away wins.

Maritimo are traditionally strong on the island of Madeira and are nicely placed in fourth place. I can see them edging a win at a best 8-11 with Coral.

Gil Vicente, 9-2 at Stan James, usually defend in numbers on the road and this could be an unders game. Take under 2.5 goals at 7-10 with sportingbet while under 1.5 is 9-4 with the same firm.

Anyone who saw the Barcelona v Granada match last weekend will be tempted to have a bet on the La Liga minnows tonight.

Granada went to the Nou Camp, played some great stuff and scored three goals. True, they lost 5-3 but to net three against a side with the best defensive record in the league, was no mean feat.

Only two out of 10 matches have seen Granada score less than two and the way they play gets them goals and they also concede.

So when Sevilla visit tonight (8pm) look at both teams to score (4-5, bet365, BetVictor) and over 2.5 goals (11-10, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power). Sevilla won 3-0 at Santander last time out and confidence should be lifted for what could be a cracking match.

Granada could edge this one but because they are as big as 85-40 at BetVictor I'm looking to back them plus one goal at 4-7 with Coral. Sevilla are a best 6-4 with Blue Square.
