THERE are games in Serie A, La Liga and in Portugal tonight and a treble on the big guns could pay dividends.

Let's start with Roma v Genoa (7.45) as the Champions League chasers face a side destined to finish mid-table.

Roma have never lost to Genoa in the Olympic Stadium and are a best 8-15 at William Hill and Ladbrokes to extend that run and should do so.

For anyone looking for added value you could try Roma -1 at 13-10 at Paddy Power or Roma to win to nil (7-4, Paddy Power).

Ex-Chelsea youngster Fabio Borini has netted all of Roma's goals in their last four matches – four goals in two wins and two defeats – and was recently called into the Italy squad. He's making a name for himself and is 5-1 with BetVictor and bet365 score first.

Genoa have drawn their last three, including a 0-0 at home to Juventus, but prior to that lost three without conceding.

In Spain, Espanyol still have a chance of making it into the Champions League places but need a strong finish. They recovered from a 5-0 thumping by Real Madrid to beat Rayo Vallecano 5-0 last week and should see off Racing Santander tonight.

Racing are struggling in 19th spot and have lost three of their last four, conceding 11 goals, but two of those four-goal defeats were to Real Madrid and Barcelona. Back Espanyol at a best 7-10 with BetVictor and Ladbrokes.

Gil Vicente sounds more like a racing driver than a football team and Sporting Lisbon look racing certs to win away at 17-20 with unibet.

Sporting showed their talent as they knocked out Man City in a dramatic Europa League tie last week and should build on that success by lifting a much-needed three points.

Paul the price for Borini scoring the first goal is being cut everywhere as we speak. Got £200 on him for first goal at Ladbrokes and tried to put £100 on him last goal but when looking online the price was 4/1 for first goal with no prices for last goalscorer. I phoned them and they took the bet manually at 4/1. I just wish I hadn’t paid £100 into my Ladbrokes account cos I’m sure I would have gotten 9/2 in the shop.

Chris, it will only matter if he scores first. I’m on him for first and at any time.

Chris, I think if you do a lot of first scorer bets on favourites or second favourites you’ll finish up. But unfortunately anyone has the chance to score first as Jonny Evans showed at the weekend. I need Roma to hang on to at least give the treble a shout and it would nice if Borini could at least score.

Jesus Chris I wish I could laugh after losing £200! Personally I think first goalscorer is a bit of a lottery. Oh well time to think of scraping it back.

Phil, it’s a bit of lottery as basically there are 20 players out there who could score first. If you stick to the likes of Rooney, van Persie, Lambert, Messi, Ronaldo and Gomez you’ll be in profit. And it’s probably worth throwing in some midfielders or penalty takers who are not strikers each way such Lampard, Gerrard and Brown.

thinking shef wed queens park and southend treble tomorrow.
adding reading charlton leeds and southampton for £2 line but will wait to see your picks first.

Craig, tips will be up in the morning but Sheff Wed and Queen’s Park are definitely in the five to follow. Reading should be OK but not sure about Southampton who have a tough one at Hull. I’m leaving out Charlton who are too short on current form against an ever-improving Yeovil. Leeds and Southend should win at home but it’s not an easy card (as usual).

was thinking the same about charlton, never touched them at wknd but they bust 2 coupons in midwk and wknd last wk
