LAST season I'd never have considered backing Liverpool at odds on away from home – maybe not even at Anfield.

But this term I don't have a problem backing Brendan Rodgers's side at a short price at Cardiff – not after the way they demolished Man United at Old Trafford last weekend.

That was a super show with a 3-0 win not flattering them. Meanwhile, Cardiff were moving closer to the relegation trapdoor with a last-minute defeat at Everton.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men have lost four of their last five and will have to be at their best to stop the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.

It's a tricky looking card which is why Liverpool away at odds on are in there but one side I like are Championship play-off cotenders Brighton. They have won three of their last four – all to nil – as well as a draw with Reading.

Visitors to the south coast are an inconsistent Ipswich outfit who just can't get a run going. Ipswich have netted just three goals in their last six and could find a tough Seagulls defence difficult to breach.

Go to Scotland and complete the treble with Ayr at home to Arbroath. Ayr have won their last two matched 5-0 – home and away – since the return of top scorer Michael Moffat from a ban for daring to put on a coupon.

Moffat marked his return at Stranraer with a hat-trick and bagged a double at East Fife last week. Ayr have beaten Arbroath three times this season – scoring three on each occasion – so it could be one for the overs too.

The Top Treble contest is now at an end. Feel free to put your own treble up if you want.
