THE new Formula One season roars into action in the early hours of Sunday morning with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.
The revamped qualifying system was panned on its debut on Saturday and by the end of it there was a Mercedes one-two at the front of the grid with Lewis Hamilton taking pole and Nico Rosberg second.
World champ Hamilton is now 1-2 at Boylesports to bag victory in Melbourne with Rosberg 7-2 at Unibet and Sebastien Vettel 8-1 at Unibet.
At the Indian Wells tennis the women's final pits world No.1 Serena Williams against Victoria Azarenka. Williams – who leads the head-to-head 17-3 and has won the last five in a row – is 1-3 at BetVictor to take the title.
World No.15 Azarenka is 5-2 at Ladbrokes for the win. She was won a set in four of the last five meetings and same again tonight pays 10-11 at BetVictor.

Valteri Bottas had a back injury and missed last seasons Australian GP he’s never been a great qualifier and finds himself in the 11th spot on the grid in the morning. But he finished top 6 in 12 out of the 19 races last season and still has the Mercedes engine so I reckon 11/4 is a great price for a top 6 finish at Bet365.
Damnit, just after heading off to bed Bottas was handed a five place grid penalty… still managed to battle back to 8th from starting 16th but that’s a point lost.

The Pelicans were delivered some bad news over the last couple of days with Anthony Davis possibly missing the rest of the season. Last time he was out I took his replacements points as the offense will go round a lot more, and this man is their second highest scorer per game despite coming off the bench.
Ryan Anderson has scored 29 and 30 in his last two games and with the starting role he should have similar numbers tonight. He hasn’t been great against the Clippers this season, but with Davis out this could be close.
