THERE was a massive shock at the Indian Wells Open as world No.2 Andy Murray crashed out to unheralded Argentine Federico Delbonis.

Murray – who was 1-50 for victory pre-match – squandered a 4-1 lead in the final set to lose to the 12-1 outsider in a tiebreak but there was better news for fellow British No.1 Johanna Konta who reached round four with victory over Denisa Allertova.

Tonight's action sees world No.1 Novak Djokovic – 2-5 title favourite at Betfred – take on big-serving German Philipp Kohlschreiber while Rafa Nadal looks to avenge his Australian Open defeat to fellow Spaniard Fernando Verdasco.

At the Twenty20 cricket World Cup, hosts India are 1-2 at StanJames to beat New Zealand (15-8, Ladbrokes) and in the NBA there's a six-match that features San Antonio Spurs looking to extend their home winning streak to 42 games when they host LA Clippers.

Jordan will add his NBA tips below and as usual let's hear all your own sporting tips and chat too.

One forward two back! Raptors lose outright even without Rose and Gasol on the court, and with a hobbled Jimmy Buckets for Chicago. Rockets look to have blown away Memphis with the Cavs yet to tip so putting my faith in Raoul and sticking a few points on the Cavs -5.5 @ 7/8 @ Sporting Bet.

Oriaz looks to have smashed it too so well done mate!

Raptors almost pull it back to OT but too little too late! Sing it with me ‘East sucks’.

    Houston up 40 too ?

  4. oriaz 8 years ago

Cheers Jordan, back in profit now but it could have been better. Gonna stop betting on the Cavs cause they’re so on and off, they have no spirit, it’s not a team simply. Bulls keep bullying the Raptors (even with half a team), h2h suggested that but considering the Raptor’s current form I thought they’ll get the win (unlucky about the OT as they had the momentum).

    Congrats to all winners!

      Nice work mate ?

    • Jordan 8 years ago

I find the East in general is a lottery mate. Raptors just weren’t playing D. Haven’t been the past couple of games but thought the Bulls would struggle without Rose and Gasol. Butler was rotten but McDermott and Moore had good games. No fuss. We’re still alive :)

      Great work again mate!

  5. raoul duke 8 years ago

    Cleveland Cavaliers -4 @ 1.90 (Bet 365) – 2 Points. – *LOST*

    Minnesota Timberwolves ML @ 1.86 (Bet 365) – 1.2 Points. – *LOST*

Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans) Over 39.5 Points, Assists and Rebounds (Bet365) – 1.2 Points. – *LOST*

It was inevitable really. Jazz was an early lean for me, but changed my mind last minute, based on Cav’s 3 point shooting the night before (silly me for thinking they keep that up 2 nights in a row).

Also, I do not believe in the ‘player out/injured’ angle as a viable reason for a bet, unless it’s for instance Steph Curry or LeBron James.

When I saw that Hayward was out, I very nearly put some cash on Jazz +6.5. The amount of times I’ve seen a starter or key player listed as out, the lines drift and that team goes on to win anyway, is no joke.

    Wack night ??

    • Jordan 8 years ago

Hahaha. Come on Raoul! That is something you’d hear from Attila :) ‘Don’t think the player out injured angle is a viable reason’. Seemed to work for Houston ;) Take a loss on the chin mate. You can’t do anything about it. To come out and say you changed your mind is just ridiculous too. Doesn’t help anyone. Didn’t help me that’s for sure :) I’m not bothered. It’ll be won back.

    • raoul duke 8 years ago

Haha Grizzlies are missing an entire team! ?

Yeah I was just venting, vexed with 3 losses. Obviously I’m aware that players out needs to be factored in… rotoworld is checked daily.

Let’s get back to business, winning bets ?✌

    • Jordan 8 years ago

I find rotoworld on twitter to be very rewarding! Can usually get news before the markets start to move. Chin up bud. You win more than you lose! Good basketball head.

Speaking of basketball heads. Where is @hunter?

    • raoul duke 8 years ago

Awesome, I didn’t think of checking twitter… now following!

Cheers man, hopefully get back to winning ways tonight… all though it looks a fairly tricky card!… small lean for Celtics atm.

Last I saw Hunter he went in pretty heavy on the Warriors (when they played Magic recently), took the full spread when Magic only lost by 6.

My guess is he’s taking a breather.

    • Jordan 8 years ago

Very tricky card! Will probably just stick with Victor.

    Cycling: Tirreno-Adriatico stage 7

    Time trial today.

    Match-ups:

    Dowsett to beat Navardauskas
    Cancellara to beat Martin
    Double @ 2.01 with WH

I already took the single last night for Dowsett, but the price has been cut during the night. Dowsett has said he is waiting for this stage all week. He is a very good time triallist and he has a shot at the podium today. Navardauskas crashed in the first stage and suffered all week. He is very low in GC because of that he has to start as third today. I think the crash and the early start will affect his performance.

Cancellara is the big favourite today. He is in great form and showed this yesterday by leading the peleton to chase the break-away yesterday. Very impressive. Martin is not in great form yet and we haven’t seen him all week. He will have to have a very good day to beat Cancellara.

Looking at the fixtures tonight just looks like a tornado. Spurs -9 the only thing that I’d tempt myself on at first glance. May get a prop up later. Good luck with your punts!

    liking the underdogs tonight
    celtics
    Nuggets
    Bucks
    Lakers

    All to cover / Win as the underdog…..thoughts? @jordan @raoul-duke @oriaz

    • raoul duke 8 years ago

Hmm, Pacers last 5 home games as favourite they failed to cover any 0-5. And last 10 home games (as fav) they covered 3-7.

Couple of things that worry me about this game, Jae Crowder is out so Celtics will be lacking defensively, and also Pacers need to be winning games to hold a playoff spot… and were embarrassed by Hawks in their last game… betting against a team at home after a heavy loss always worries me.

But hold a gun to my head, I pick Celtics.

I like Nuggets… the ultimate Road Dog.. they’ve covered 66.7% of road games, Magic are struggling at the moment.

Bucks…..I’m on them myself, and will post my bet soon.

Lakers, cannot be trusted.. Kings are due a win after losing 5 straight.

Best of luck if you take this bet, its ballsy.

    • mulac 8 years ago

cheers man, yeah not ballsy enough to take them all ML will put some of them in an acca
Yeah i saw crowder was out, i think it’s the weakest pic, pacers have looked crap recently but should be motivated here.
Lakers are looked really decent atm, actually starting to look like a team ha.

    • Jordan 8 years ago

Sorry mulac no interest in any mate.

    Denver Nuggets +3 @ 1.90 (Bet 365) – 1.5 Points.

    Milwaukee Bucks +2 @ 1.90 (Bet 365) – 1.5 Points.

    Good luck.

Won 1 Lost 1 last week on call of duty eSport betting so broke even, try and do better this week with some profit as that is the goal.

Tough card but will be going for:

    Elevate v H2K 02:00am – Elevate win

Been trying to learn a bit about the other games but not too sure on them yet unfortunately, good luck mate!

  14. oriaz 8 years ago

    NBA picks for tonight:

    – Nuggets +3.5 @ 10/11 (Unibet)

I agree with Raoul, Nuggets have been great at covering and they actually didn’t have to travel a lot since they played Miami yesterday.

    – Clippers +95.5 team points @ 17/20

Spurs are a machine at home and don’t allow a lot of points but 95.5 pts seems very low, knowing that the Clippers managed to get over that total in their last 6 h2h against the Spurs.

    – Spurs -3.5 / Kings ML (double) @ 1/1

Spurs will want to keep their home record going. Kings are facing one of the worst teams in the league (even if they have been improving). After 5 losses the Lakers are the perfect opponent for the Kings to get a win.

All at Unibet, all 1 pt.

    • oriaz 8 years ago

      Other leans:

      – Raptors/Bucks: I’m going for the Raptors here, they usually bounce back and avoid two consecutive losses but the Bucks have really been great at home even if the Raptors have won the last 3 h2h.
      – Pacers/Celtics: It’s an important game for both team, will probably be very tactical and based a lot on the defense. I like the Pacers to get the win at home as they’ve been doing well there and also under 209.5 pts.
      – Nets/Sixers: Battle of the losers … Nothing really standing out, maybe a sense of revenge by the Nets and the homefield advantage.

      GL tonight!

  15. Jordan 8 years ago

Just seeing news saying Lowry and DeRozan could be rested. Whether that’s tonight I’m not sure. But if so I’d jump on the Bucks. Stay tuned.

  16. the lucky filipino 8 years ago

    Main bet – Jordan’s player prop …

    My player prop treble….

    Antetokounmpo (bucks) over 27.5 P&R..
    K Leonard (Spurs)over 33.5 P,A&R
    J Randal (lakers) over 24.5 P&R

    6/1 PP
    Good luck guys..

  17. Jordan 8 years ago

DeRoazan resting but its just started so might want to keep an eye out.

  18. the lucky filipino 8 years ago

@jordan thanks for the oladipo Over 28 P,R&A ..that’s 3 in a row now since i come bk from holiday Hayward,Carmelo then oladipo..good times ?..cheers mate!

Good job you aren’t getting on the losers then mate ;)

  19. Jordan 8 years ago

Cousins should have a healthy stat sheet after his game against the Lakers tonight. Trouble is his points are so high. Did score 36 in his last visit here and 29 at home. Over 29.5 @ 17/20 @ Bet Victor – 1 point

  20. Jordan 8 years ago

The buggers left there DeRozan news too late. Lowry 30.5 points and assists. 28 at the half :(

  21. Jordan 8 years ago

Kings destroying the Lakers here. 14 the line @ 5/6 in the first quarter. In for a penny, in for a pound.
