ONE of England's great derbies kicks-off Saturday's action but it looks a close one to call. Selectabet takes a look at the Bet Builder options.
Result
When was the last time Liverpool were favourites to win at Old Trafford? Bet365 rate them 17/10 chances to take the three points compared to almost 2/1 on United. I'm not sure if that's right especially as United are two points ahead of their great rivals but I could make arguments for both sides winning.
Klopp has a good record against Mourinho and the Reds are as exciting to watch as I can remember, they're certainly capable of the win. Jose's side may not be easy on the eye but more often than not they get the job done especially at home where they've won 35 of the 42 points on offer.
The last four meetings have finished all-square and that might just be a satisfactory result for both sides again here.
Cards
Only the Merseyside Derby has seen more red cards in the Premier League era than this fixture but there's not been a sending off since Steven Gerrard was given his marching orders at Anfield in March 2015. Since then the fixture has averaged 3.85 yellows in the seven meetings between the sides.
Liverpool are one of the best disciplined teams in the league (1.28 per match) only bettered by Swansea. United average 1.86. So there's no doubt that this fixture punches above its average when it comes to cards.
Five of those last seven clashes have seen four or less cards and with the line set at 5.5 the best bet looks to be Unders at 4/5.
Corners
A much tougher one to call this. Both sides average over 6 corners per match but concede just 4.41 (Man Utd) and 3.34 (Liverpool) so it could go either way. You can opt for over or under 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 in the match so there's a fair spread to choose from.
I'm going to play it relatively safe and go with over 9 corners in the match.
