MAN UNITED'S Champions League campaign hangs in the balance tonight as Sevilla head to Old Trafford for a fascinating last-16 second leg.
Jose Mourino's men survived a battering in the opener and had keeper David de Gea's heroics to thank for the 0-0 draw that leaves the tie finely poised.
Result
United head into the game boosted by their 2-1 weekend win over Liverpool where they were happy to sit back and soak up pressure. They defended superbly on Saturday and will need more of the same to keep out the Spaniards who'll be targeting an away goal to put United in panic mode.
However, I've not been too convinced by Sevilla this season. They failed to win any of their three away games in the group at Liverpool, Maribor and CSKA Moscow – where they were thumped 5-1 – and have been flaky under manager Vincenzo Montella who took charge at the turn of the year. The first leg was a huge missed opportunity and it could come back to bite them tonight.
United have won 12 of 15 home league games this season, and all three in the Champions League, and while it may not be pretty I reckon they'll get the job done at 8-13.
Player to score
Romelu Lukaku is slowly but surely growing into the striker Mourinho wants him to be and can make his mark on this big occasion.
The hitman netted in four straight home games before the win over Liverpool where he played a key role in Marcus Rashford's double and led the line well.
His pace and power can cause problems for any backline and the big Belgian is 6-5 to score tonight.
Corners
The first leg saw the Spaniards win the corner count 12-4 and United are averaging 10.55 per home game this season.
Sevilla's away game average in La Liga this season is a healthy 11 and I'm back over 10 corners in this one at 10-11.
