ANDY MURRAY is 11-8 (from 2-1) second favourite with Coral to win a first Wimbledon title this summer after the British No.1's path to the final opened up on a dramatic day.
The Scot cruised through to the third round at SW19 with victory over Yen Hsun Lu this afternoon but potential semi-final opponent and seven-time champion Roger Federer crashed out to join Rafael Nadal on the sidelines.
Other tough opponents in his half of the draw, Marin Cilic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, also exited after suffering injuries.
Federer was 1-100 to beat Sergiy Stakhovsky but went down 3-1 to the Ukrainian, a 33-1 outsider at the start of the match.
“We thought Nadal’s defeat on day one would be the biggest shock of the tournament but Federer’s loss at odds of 100-1 ON has eclipsed even that, in the process opening up Murray’s path to the final even more.”

Paul Petrie of McBookie.com who have Murray at 6-4 said: “ At the start of the tournament all the talk was about how Murray may have to beat Nadal, Federer and Djokovic to win Wimbledon. Now it is just Djokovic he has to worry about.”

Seppi may be worth a punt this game not least because of the injury woes that have been blighting the tournament and at Queens Llodra had to withdraw with a hamstring issue and at 33 has he fully recovered from that ? Seppi who reached the semis @ Eastbourne just may have the edge here.
