RANGERS’ entrance to the Ramsdens Cup has raised the profile of the tournament to a new level – and the newco will take their bow at Brechin on Sunday.

Partick Thistle finished last season well and should see off Clyde at neutral Alloa. The Jags are 1-2 (various).
Ayr, who hammered Motherwell recently, should be too strong for East Stirling but are just

Dunfermline can win their fight with ex-boss Dick Campbell’s Forfar at Station Park and are
8-11 at Coral.

Andy, not 100 per cent confident about the Ramsdens Cup games. For many teams they are an extension of pre-season so there could be a couple of strange results. I’ve basically gone with the big guns as there’s not much else you can do at this stage. I’ll have a look at the btts on my way up to Kirriemuir. Off on a long trek to see the Bankies (I must be mad).

Andy, looks a good shout. I suppose the Rangers tam just about picks itself depending on whether Little and Black play. I had a laugh too at seeing Hemmings as first-scorer favourite and Aluko and others in there. Only guy missing was McCoist.
