I'VE never been as disappointed with a winning Super Single as I was with Sabine Lisicki to win more than six games in her match with Serena Williams.
The bet paid a tempting 11-10 with Paddy Power and it was just about up as the German sailed through the first set. Williams walked the next but Lisicki held her nerve to win the decided.
I was happy enough to land another Super Single but a part of me was regretting not having a punt on Lisicki to win the match at 10-1 or even Lisicki 2-1 at 19-1.
Lisicki is back in action on Tuesday in the quarter-finals and is hot favourite to beat Estonian Kaia Kanepi who took care of Laura Robson as I predicted.
Robson had her chances though so you have to believe if Lisicki plays anything like she did against Williams she'll win. Lisicki is a best 2-5 at Stan James and I'll be on her to reach the last four with a 2-0 win (1-1, Stan James).
Former champion Petra Kvitova is 4-9 at Stan James to beat Kirsten Flipkens but may need three sets to do it. That pays 3-1 at sportingbet.
The other ties are tougher to call with Li Na favourite to edge out Pole Agnieszka Radwanska and Marion Bartoli expected to see off young American Sloane Stephens.
I'm tipping both to go to three sets with both matches to do so paying 11-8 at BetVictor.
Recommended bets
Lisicki 2-0 (1pm)
(1-1, Stan James)
Kvitova 2-1 (3pm)

Li v Radwanska 3 sets (1pm)

Radwanska to win vs Na Li 13/10
Ellis, it’s a tough one to call. Reckon Radwanska-Li could go either way.
Lisicki to win Wimbkedon @ 3.75 bet365
Worth a punt.
Can’t argue with those picks Mr F. I jotted down my set selections last night and came up with Kvitova 2-0,
Lisicki 2-0, Na Li 2-1 and the other match is a toss of the coin job. They’ve only met once and Bartoli won in three- I might go with the American 2-1 although I’m not quite sure how good she is. If she beats Bartoli she’s pretty good.
Flipkens to win a set vs Kvitova @ 1.65
Lisicki and Kanepi to play 3 sets @ 2.5
Li Na to beat Radwanska @ 1.6
Stephens and Bartoli to play 3 sets @ 2.05

CONSENSUS BETTING TENNIS.
(The tennis matches from Wimbledon most experts agrees on having value combined with my staking plan.)
Four out of four yesterday which I’m following up by doing something I might regret: I’m going against Mr. Fixit. But only because I really like the argument from another expert and like the odds value.
“Lisicki played fantastic yesterday but are we sure we won’t see a reaction today? A reaction against a strong Kanepi who in crossover match comparison have done better (game for game) against Riske, Sharapova and Cibulkova in 2013.”

The Dane.
The Dane, I can see your thinking with Lisicki in the same way the guys who beat Federer and Nadal then suffered. But Lisicki is a top-ranked player with plenty of experience and title wins. Also Kanepi played a hard match yesterday against Robson so for me it’s worth considering but I’ll still be on Lisicki.
Mr. Fixit – you’re probably right … again :-) But I still think Kanepi has a 35% chance of winning the first set which is all I need for value.

3 Tennis & 1 footie – 4 fold
Li v Radwanska – Over 2.5 sets @ 5/4
Sabine Lisicki to win 2 – 0 @ 10/11
Petra Kvitova to win 2 – 1 @ 5/2
Shirak (-4) @ 5/4
4 Folds, 1 bet * £2.50 Pays £84.57 (bet365)
won a few quid yesterday, doing quickfire doubles on the servers in the next game to hold serve! New way of betting for me, but profitable all the same. the Prices I was going for ranged from 4/6 to 2/5.
I think I’ll go with these today…
Lisicki win 1/3
Kvitova win 2/5
Radwanska- Na Li over 22.5 games in match 1/1 (Bet Fred)
Bartoli-Stephens over 21.5 games in match 8/11 (Bet Fred)
Last two matches are likely to go to three sets and are too close to call. Even 7-6 6-4 will be enough!
A tenner pays £64.
Lord Clegg, that seems to be the concensus. Wins for Lisicki and Kvitova and closer calls with the other two.
Single: Bartoli to beat Stephens @ 1.8
Bartoli hasn’t lost a set yet, altough she faced somewhat weaker opponents that Stephens. If there was one more day between the rounds I would back Stephens for sure, but she played a tought match yesterday and Bartoli might be more fresh for this one. Also, she seems faster than American, and every bit of speed counts on grass, while both are strong on hitting the ball.
I’d recommend backing Bartoli, with 8/10 confidence.
Ermm ok.. Now thinking Radwanska 2 – 1 now 5.8 betfair ;)
Kivitova -Flipkens tie break yes
Lusicki – Kanepi tie break yes
Total price:@13.3
Worth to try..
friend of mine backed Radwanska to win Wimbledon before the torny started @ 66/1 its looking very possible, & its swaying me towards her to beat Li Na today but im not sure
Titou, you’re pal is in a good position because he can now lay Radwanska. I’ve seen tips for both players so it really looks a tough one to call.
that’s a good point wouldn’t be surprised if hes already on that
I’m sure quite a few would lay Radwanska given the chance! ;)
haha ;)
just for abit of fun
France U20 to beat Turkey U20
Under 9.5 Games 1 set Sloane Stephens Vs Marion Bartoli
Over 9.5 Games Sabine Lisicki vs Kaia Kanepi
Radwanska to Beat Li Na
Over 21.5 Games Kvitova Vs Flipkens
@ 33.24
Im on the Lisicki Kvitova double
Pretty confident about 3 of these picks but the one that might be iffy is Flipkens and i have based this on watching 4 or 5 games that Kvitova has played earlier this year and she crumbled in the games i watched but of course she has the game to deliver as well so small stakes on the 4 fold
Na Li
Sabine Lisicki
Kirsten Flipkens
Marion Bartoli
10.1/1 bet365
Kvitova has gone to three sets but I half expected that.
I need that Stephens one to do a bit better in the second set. My bet requires over 21.5 games in that match. Everything still to play for- hey ho!
Tbh I looked at radwanska 66/1. If she was im the other half I would have done it
The Dane hit it well today haha
Ellis – thank you for the support :-) Just happy I only had €77.00 at stake and are still up by €194.50 in this Wimbledon series.
The Dane.
Pretty well went as much as i thought today apart from Na Li who i thought was rattled by an early hawkeye moment which she won but the umpire unbelievably made her play the point again i think that affected her decision not to challenge the set point she had which was called out but was in all along and radwanska wet on to win the set.
As i thought Kvitova folded when the moment of truth presented itself and Flipkens took full advantage to wrap the game up.
Just a pity Li Na did me for the 4 fold @ 10/1 still been a good tournament so far for me and i remain in profit over the 2 week event.
Knew radwanska was it. You will all think I’m doing a chris guy but can prove every transaction. In the last week got £22.50 up to £570. Can print screen every transaction. In plays the lot haha hit a mental streak
Tell u what. A super simgle tomorrow could be del Potro to beat ferrer. I also fancy berdych to do well
Ellis, I’ll have some thoughts up soon but have to agree about Del Potro although Ferrer is a bit of a warrior.
Funny enuff ellis i was just this very minute looking at this match and can’t help wondering that the french open took a lot out of ferrer and this might just be as you say a super single on del potro m8
What sort of bets have you been making Elis to build your balance like that? After a very good couple of weeks the last week has been terrible for me. Tennis bets have been pretty reliable though.
Right been seriously hitting in play stuff
(David Ferrer at a set down against stakhivsly)
Cavendish to win today when he’s winning we’ll at 1/1
England cricket two days in 4/7
Derby cricket last night 8/13
Seriously hitting in play favourites. Off the initial £22.50 thanks to del Potro I am up to £812.30
And waiting in kubot in play 6/1
