AFTER yesterday's drama at Wimbledon which saw Andy Murray and Roger Federer win five-set thrillers it's the turn of the women to take centre stage.

Hot favourite Serena Williams faces shocktroop Elena Vesnina while her older sister Venus is underdog against German Angeligue Kerber.

Kerber is 4-11 at boylesports to beat Venus who is in her first Wimbledon semi since 2009 after recovering from illness.

The German Aussie Open champion has reached this stage without dropping a set and I reckon she'll triumph against the 36-year-old.

Serena was priced bigger than I expected at 4-5 with Skybet to see of Vesnina and a Serena/Kerber double is what I like. That 4-5 quote though is wrong and best anywhere else is 1-10.

Murray suffered a fright against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga before running away with the final set. He is now 8-13 favourite with sportingbet to land his second Wimbledon crown ahead of Federer who is 3-1 at Betfred. Next up for the Scot is a meeting with Tomas Berdych and he should come through that in three or four sets although 1-7 to win the match looks awful short considering how tough he found it against Tsonga.

The second one is tougher to call with Federer up against big-hitting Milos Raonic whose game is improving under the coaching of John McEnroe. Fed is 8-13 at sportingbet to reach the Final.

Big mac, Johnb and others have been prolific with their Wimbledon tips so let's see everyone's thoughts here.

Thursday Double

S Williams (1pm)

Kerber (2.30pm)

(1-2, William Hill)*

*Price I originally quoted was 13-10 at Winner and taken from oddschecker but must be wrong. Best I can get when trying to place the double is 1-2 at William Hill. Oddschecker now quote Skybet at 4-5 but that can't be right.

3/4 you sure because that is not right

Thought so because it’s pretty easy to tell that’s an error

Geo Cn, easy if you’re not looking for best price.
Unfortunately oddschecker have a few prices wrong and that’s who I use for the accumulators to save time.
When I went to place the bet though I realised it had to be wrong.

Hope it is Serena v Kerber.
A Williams brothers final would be so dull, and like going back in time and would highlight the lack of depth in the women’s game if a 36 year old can reach the final
