BAD night in more ways than one yesterday. When you lose your starting QB in the first quarter it will always be a long afternoon but when it’s Aaron Rodgers you might as well kiss the season goodbye.
The Rudolph yards were spot on but there were still upsets across the board, the 0-5 Giants beating the Broncos in Denver maybe the biggest, but the loss for Green Bay in Minnesota was the loudest with Rodgers out.
A home contest against the Saints on Sunday, who had three defensive TDs against a very experienced Matt Stafford. Brett Hundley best get some good reps in this week, he’s going to need them!
Tonights AFC contest is a divisional one with Marcus Mariota looking to return under centre for the Titans after two straight losses on the road.
The Colts are 2-3 but their two wins have come against opponents that are 0-12 (Browns and 49ers) and only won both of those games by a field goal margin on home turf.
Their two road losses have seen them concede 46 points in each against the Seahawks and Rams, in which Jacoby Brissett has thrown three pick sixes and allowed a fumble recovery for a TD.
While Mariota isn’t a cert to start, he is likely to play over sitting, so the Titans should be able to get the W even if he’s not 100 per cent. Tight End Melanie Walker is a top target for any starting QB the Titans roll out, and with a 70 per cent catch percentage, has the sure hands you need in prop bets.
The Colts have allowed the fourth most points to Tight Ends over the last two weeks so I expect Walker to have a good game at home in prime time.
Neither side have generated much of a pass rush this season but the Colts have allowed Brissett to hit the dirt atlas three times in each of his four starts, with Scott Tolzien taking four sacks on day 1.
Expect the Titans to create pressure and force some turnovers. Richard Matthews (Over 55.5 at) could also be a good bet for his receiving yards too, as he has seen a 29 per cent target rate this season.
TY Hilton (Over 78.5 at bet) has seen almost double the amount of targets than any of his Colts teammates and will likely be their throw and hope receiver again.
