I'M a lover of singles, doubles and trebles but I appreciate visitors to the site do a variety of bets and use contrasting stakes.

The Super Single is for bigger stakes and the Top Treble to a certain extent. My homes and aways fall into the middle category while draws, scorers and match result and both teams to score fall into the low-stakes variety.

I've been staggered by the popularity of the match result and win bets and obviously the odds are attracting masses of punts.

And I'm also amazed by the amount of big winners with about half of my Line of the Week entries to the Daily Record featuring this market.

I yesterday put up an article about Coral's huge weekend payouts after the 14 teams most backed in their shops all won. Luckily for punters they were based mostly in England and therefore the likes of Ross County, Hamilton and Stranraer – all odds-on favourites who flopped – were off their radar.

Many of those big wins at Coral came from punters picking match result and both teams to score. I'm not a big fan because in my eyes a treble is a 27fold – and that's why the odds are so big.

But it's worth a doing a 50p or £1 Yankee as the returns can run into thousands. So here are my tips as well as draws and first scorers. All are suggested as Yankees and for low stakes – no more than a £1 Yankee but as little as a 10p Yankee – and remember these are speculative bets.

Four out of four on any of these would be incredible – and may happen once a season – three would be great and two at least covers the stakes.

Good stuff Paul. Can we have this as a regular feature if time constraints allow?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Troy, on big cards I usually put up draws, score and win and scorers but they have to be for low stakes.

Do bet365 do the btts match result market.? Don’t usually touch them but gotta be worth a small punt!

    Can’t find the option !!!!!

  10. Davie-S 10 years ago

Bazza 365 don’t do that market, they do an over 2.5 match result which is similar but a bit shorter odds..

Click on the goals market and you’ll see result/total goals.. in my opinion betfred goals galore extra give the best prices on btts match result..

Im a lover of the btts and win coupon and treat it as a ‘fun bet’ , I tend to pick out the the favourites to win and hope for the best it’s surprising how often the odds on fav lets a goal in. I’ve had a number of trebles come in so far this season usually only staking £1.50 or £2.00 for good returns. Tonight I picked out
    Man utd
    QPR
    Rotherham
Ladbrokes result rush £2 pays £96
Good luck with all your bets

Hello folks, I’ve been reading for weeks but this is my first post…

I’ve been having some reasonable success recently (i.e. I am a couple of hundred quid in profit!!) with choosing 5 teams and doing any 4 from 5 plus all 5 for stakes of £2.50 (£15 total bet). I do this in addition to my main line and usually try and pick out sides that are around evens (or better), this is what I’ve gone for tonight with Hills:

    Arsenal 10/11
    Newcastle 9/5
    Blackburn 29/20
    Leicester 10/11
    Wolves 21/20

    Minimum 4-fold pays roughly £46
    All 5 (including the 4-folds) pays £423

    Wish me luck!!

  24. Kyleh 10 years ago

Can someone tell me what a Yankee is ? I am planning on putting a fiver on the score and wins coupon but don’t understand the way a Yankee works ?

  25. craigdon 10 years ago

11 bets mate on 4 selections. It covers doubles, trebles and an acca. If only 2 win you get that double. If 3 win you get that treble AND the 6 doubles and if all four win (the jackpot!) Because you get 4 trebles all the doubles and the cheeky acca just for good measure. It’s not actually the acca that pays out big, it’s all the doubles and trebles so it’s worth firing an extra quid on the acca as well, so 12 bets all in.

  26. Nathan 10 years ago

i’m loving the bamford first to score tip. i expect him to score at any time, just hope its first

  27. Troy 10 years ago

Turk – I follow this site several times a day and read all the tips but I’d like to see the btts and mr market a little more.

I had great success about a month ago and a decent win over a week ago but last few I’ve missed out by a few teams. Like most I go by stats and team news…. Will keep on persevering

  28. jimmybee 10 years ago

Nice going mrf 3 out of 4 draws

  29. suddie 10 years ago

Mr fix it , i did your treble but done a strange bet. I looked at your four goal scorers which is a bet i never do but decided if u fancy their teams to score u must give them a chance of winning so i done a nice wee acca. Thank u

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

suddie, that’s one way to do it. But you’re right when you pick a scorer it’s generally from the team you favour.

  30. jamie180 10 years ago
