I'VE tentatively tipped Everton to win at Southampton tonight but have no problem going with Benfica at Moreirense.

Unbeaten Benfica face a side at the bottom and with just one with this season. More tellingly they lost 5-0 at second bottom Setubal last time out.

Obviously Benfica are fairly short at a best 1-4 with William Hill and Coral but having hit 12 goals in four games they must be a look on the handicaps. You can have 7-10 minus one at boylesports and 9-5 minus two with Paddy Power.

Star striker Oscar Cardozo has signed a new contract and is 3-1 at William Hill to celebrate by scoring first. To net at any time he is 4-5 with boylesports.

There is one game in La Liga with fourth-placed Real Betis taking on relegation-threatened Athletic Bilbao. Not many people would have anticipated such standings at the start of the season but Marcelo Bielsa's side have enjoyed a terrible season and are on a run of three defeats.

They sit just three points above the drop zone and that's remarkable for a side that reached the Europa League and Spanish Cup finals last season.

Betis have made a brilliant start and have also won their last three matches against their opponents. They look a decent bet at a best 20-21 at BetVictor.

I haven't really looked at the African Nations Cup but may consider Nigeria at 4-5 with BetVictor against Burkina Faso (KO 6pm). Nigeria have sent a young squad to the tournament and it could pay off as the players look hungry and happy.

Burkina Faso are always tournament minnows and may struggle to cope with the likes of Chelsea's Victor Moses who is 6-1 at Ladbrokes and unibet to break the deadlock.

Recommendations

Benfica -2
(9-5, Paddy Power)

Cardozo to score first
(3-1, William Hill)

Real Betis
(20-21, BetVictor)

Moses to score first
(6-1, Ladbrokes, unibet)

Guys have any of you ever used http://www.10bet.com?
They have a decent promotion of a 50% match first deposit bonus up to £200. But be warned, their site is terrible!
Not easy to navigate and it is not compatible with I-phone or I-Pad. It might work the first itme you use ti but after that it just keeps logging you out when you navigate on the site.
Placed a bet yesterday and because i was hungover and not concentrating picked Valencia by mistake in an accumulator. Tried to call them to void it and nobody answers the phones (thought maybe because it was a Sunday but tried again this morning and still no answer)!! Also tried the live chat option on their website and again nobody responded. There was no point in emailing them because they will have a 24hr to 48hr turnaround for a response probably and i only had an hour to rectify the situation.
Anyone else had a bad experience with them?

      Ryan, they’re not a firm I’ve used.

True that! Good luck mate. See emenike scored, boy was a handful at parkhead and in Moscow for spartak!

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Seamus, changed my bet when I saw the teams. Good goal too but surprised Moses didn’t start.

  13. Seamus 12 years ago

Happy days. The boy is definitely a handful, tricky pacey, and strong! Seriously liked the look of him, not at the time playing against us tho! Lovely worked goal, boy timed run well and silky touch and good finish. What price were you getting on him Paul?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

      Seamus, Emenike was 5-1.

    • james mccann 12 years ago

i only got 4-1 on emenike in hills.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

James, I noticed him at 6-1 and 11-2 earlier but was probably cut after teams were announced.

  14. Craig23_50 12 years ago

Surely Moses must be coming on soon !!!!!!!

  15. John 12 years ago

Gone with Lambert anytime, all these Everton bets i’m going for the Saints hitman to bag one during the game

  16. Seamus 12 years ago

Nice one! Might look at prices on him for tournament top goal scorer.

  20. Danny 12 years ago

Im curious 2 know if the commentators are different on foxsports or are the same as on sky sports 31st minute did he make a reference too fellanis hair length in calculating his 15 million transfer fee

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Danny, watching in the office with no sound. But edition’s nearly away so turning up the volume for the second half.

  21. Flyboivince 12 years ago

In Israel loads of match fixing occurs with top teams getting beaten by lesser teams . I never touch them living here for the past year I can tell

  22. Andy 12 years ago

This Everton games looking like a 0-0. I’m considering watching corrie :(

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Andy, a couple of close calls but it’s been poor. Hopefully improve in the second half.

  23. Flyboivince 12 years ago

Does anyone know why Moses dint play ?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Flyboivince, commentator said he had a slight knock but had been expected to start. I’m sure he’ll be in next time as they missed some great chances.

  24. Seamus 12 years ago

From a Celtic fans/selfish point of view hope Nigeria go out early doors to give ambrose back. Confident and calming influence at the back, definitely brought kelvins game a notch or two above! See work permit approved for rogic Danny, so happy days. And Danny, was a big admirer of Toby vidmar, and the aussie lad himself said it took a year to settle culture and football wise at the age of 27/8 so think Us celtic fans will need to be patient for the young Rogic to adapt/shine like you suggested bud!

  25. Seamus 12 years ago

    Tony*

  26. Danny 12 years ago

thats it Seamus most people in Oz live a very sheltered live and would get one hell of shock in Glasgow more so west australians they would die off in the cold and everybody is used too space and plenty off it also very laid back 2 paces here slow n slower hes young but so might adapt quicker lol Tony Vidmar my last memory of him was in a bar in benidorm when he scored against parma in a champions league qualifier

  27. james mccann 12 years ago

ive got a treble of first goalscorers on
    eminike won 4-1
    jelavic 5-1 doesnt look good
    cardozo 3-1
fortune back if this comes up.would cover my last 3 months loses lol.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

James, unlucky with that. I fancied Cardozo but he’s been beaten to it.

    • james mccann 12 years ago

he hasnt scored for a wee while mr fixit, neither has jelavic.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Jelavic scored against Cheltenham in the cup but had a nightmare tonight.

  28. Seamus 12 years ago

Only oz (and that’s not ounce Danny boy) in my memory was viduka that hit off, but he was used to the European culture been at Zagreb before hand. I’m a Tim through and through, but football fan first. On that footing vidmar was superb, was a secret admirer among the jungle! The boy has time on his hands with a four year deal so here’s hoping John park has produced another gem mate

  29. james mccann 12 years ago

jelavic ya donkey, how did he miss that.

  30. Knottsy 12 years ago

Everton looking better this half. Took them in play @ 2/1.

  33. McGart 12 years ago

Chris guy I see 5 of the 6 opening african games have been draws. Did you have a wee bit of this? Opening games are always close as no team likes 2 lose opener. A tryed the draws at opening euros rite enuf with no luck. Gutted never had a wee shot on these matches. Maybe the last 2 games 2morow will be draws also.

  34. Westtimer 12 years ago

    FRANCE: Coupe de France

All both team to score. The last time I had £2 bet on 7 of them to score I was waiting on a team in Portugal to score and I own £485.

    BTT

    Epinal
    Sedan
    Vertou
    Rouen
    Fontenay
    Avenir Lozere

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Westtimer, I might look at some of these. Cheers.

  35. Chris Guy 12 years ago

Hi McGart no draws on tonight but shafted with other results. Looking ahead to tomorrows football

  36. Joe 12 years ago

first timer, so be gentle lads,, im going through one of those barren spells just now,,,last night 3 wins= Everton, Nigeria, Betis ????
I like the French ligue,, any tips for tonights ‘Coupe de France’…on paper it looks like 5 aways,,what about BTTS ??
Really dont trust Villa tonight, im going for a draw.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Joe, I don’t like betting on French football full stop although PSG did me a turn on Saturday. I might have a look at the games but tonight my focus is elsewhere. Last night both teams to score was suggested for all of the games.
