ChelseavEverton

NO Rooney, no van Persie, no chance. Maybe that's a slight exaggeration because you can never write off Man United but I really fancy Chelsea today.

Jose Mourinho has never lost to Davie Moyes as a manager and the Blues were the better side when they drew 0-0 at Old Trafford earlier in the season.

Chelsea don't have a Rooney, Suarez or Aguero but they have Mourinho who is probably worth a goal of a start in matches like these.

The Blues have won five of their last six and eight out of nine at home in the league and netted in every Premier outing at Stamford Bridge where of course Mourinho has never lost a league match.

I'd like to have been offered at least evens but that's not available so we have to settle for a best 3-4 with Paddy Power while United are as big as 9-2 with BetVictor.

It's a big price for the away but Chelsea just seem to be running into form and should nick it with home advantage.

Remember Coral are offering 5-2 for both teams to score for new customers at £20 and Ladbrokes will refund losing stakes on usual markets if both score.

It's possible as Chelsea have beaten Man City and Liverpool 2-1 at home this season and if they go behind United won't sit back and will look to attack.

Picking a first scorer isn't easy but as has been mentioned on the site earlier Eden Hazard looks decent value after hitting three in his last four games. He is 8-1 at Betvictor to net first and 13-5 at anytime against a defence that has been less than rock solid.

Hazard to score poor odds in my opinion.Chelsea win with Torres to score for me.

Ladbrokes offering money back as free bet if both teams score. Chelsea to win to nil looks like the bet to get best out of that offer.

I think this match will end in a Chelsea win to nil.

    I’m considering small stakes on:

    Correct Score: Chelsea 1 – 0 6/1
    Correct Score: Chelsea 2 – 0 7/1
Specials: Chelsea Win to nil 6/4

For the above, if a fiver is placed on each bet, the return will be 47.50 or 52.50 for a 15 total stake. If Chelsea decide to win by more, the Win to nil will be triggered as a single which returns 12.50 so the loss isn’t major. With Bet365, I believe you get return on stakes if it ends in a goalless draw. I’m digging it. I just don’t think Man Utd will score tonight.

I think whatever we bet on this game, a very small stake should be put on a 0-0 scoreline just incase lightning strikes twice

    • Rustychest 10 years ago

John, I’d say instead of 0 – 0, I would place a Correct Score with goals included on Bet365 as they have a ‘Bore Draw Money Back’ offer:

‘Have a pre-match Correct Score, Half-Time/Full-Time or Scorecast bet on ANY Soccer match and if the game finishes 0-0 we will refund all losing bets on these markets!’

So if lightning does strike twice, your stake is returned :)

Rustychest, paddy power have the same money back but for any draw so worth going with them if that’s what your going for.

Agree with Rustychest, looks like a Chelsea win to nil for me.
Thye’ve tightened up a back recently and think Man U will sit deep, congest the midfield and defend, giving lots of possession to Cheslea. But think Chelsea have the class to gradually wear them down.

    Going to take:
    2-0 Cheslea
    Half time 0-0.
    Cheslea win to nil.
    Hazard fgs.

Proabaly go with Ladbrokes for refund in case it’s btts.

Wow, I totally missed Mr. F’s Both teams to score tip. It could come through and nicely with Coral’s offer. I ended up adding Chelsea 2 – 1 to the pack ‘just in case’ :)

  11. Rustychest 10 years ago

I’m also taking the Enhanced Coral Offer https://mrfixitstips.co.uk/2014/01/18/5-2-both-teams-to-score-in-chelsea-v-man-utd/

Taking all of these the profit isn’t that huge, but you win, you win. Man U grabs the fluke then the loss isn’t that huge.

Im a United fan, and although everything points to a Chelsea victory, im not so sure.Regardless of past/current form, I think United will want to prove a point today and will be really up for it. Maybe they arent good enough to beat Chelsea, but could definately get a draw. My moneys going on a United double chance!

I’m with you Robroy, come on the United win good stakes on long odds for a surprise United win
