Went out about 9pm tonight, it threatened snow earlier, but now cold enough to settle and not heavy enough for sleet, so unless theres a big temp drop in the midlands in the next 9hrs, I can’t see any/many midlands games being called off.
Ironically, the last time the game between Derby and Forest Gumps was called off was when we were on the up, forest were in a bottomless pit of bad results and their owner nigel doghert dropped dead the day before the big match. People had come from a far a field and the US, Bermuda, Norway and Germany. They blamed safety around the ground and snow in the north of the county which was in my opinion b*@@*cks, it was Derby showing sympathy for a team that probably didn’t wanna play. ( we should of took em apart ) the replay yielded a 1 nil win.

driving home tonight was worried about the snow , after carefully parking up looked across to the park and smiled as I watched more kids out playing in a one hour period than I had seen the full xmas holidays, I would love to see more parents insist on getting their kids/bairns out playing ?

Tommy d, jut back from a walk in the snow here. People have to be aware of the weather conditions and as you say can have an effect on results.
Derby are looking good value for the 3 points so far with most of the attacks coming from the rams, theres been way more corners than I expected and the cards are coming thick and fast. I expect more goals and more cards in the 2nd. Just said to my mate if Florist aren’t careful, someone will get an early bath.
