EVERTON were the first team on my Top Treble last weekend – and they were the only winners.
Luckily I've made amends with some terrific trebles in midweek but for Saturday I see no reason to desert the Toffees.
At 2-5 they are easily backable on a treble and should see off Norwich with plenty to spare. Roberto Martinez had the luxury of resting several players against QPR and still saw his side rack up a 4-0 win.
The only time his men have let us down was at home to Sunderland and that was out down to an early red card for keeper Tim Howard. They have been rock solid at home and face a Norwich side without a win in their last six.
The last three meetings between the teams have been score draws but Everton have improved immensely this season and should pick up the points.
They're pretty short but I'm adding Motherwell at Hearts. Well's swell spell was put on hold last week when their clash against Inverness was postponed but that will allow them to recharge their batteries.
Hearts, meanwhile, have been struggling to fill their bench and been forced to put out a succession of kids and beg for mercy as their transfer embargo hits hard.
The Jambos are now 19 points clear of safety and have accepted they are down. Hearts have suffered five defeats in six – Well have won six in a row so this should be a no-brained.
Complete the treble with Cardiff at home to West Ham. I flagged up Cardiff on Wednesday but of course the price has dropped after West Ham's 6-0 defeat at Man City which followed a 5-0 loss at Nottingham Forest.
The two cup defeats were shockers but while the first was partly caused by fielding a weakened side, the men kept fresh for the Etihad let Sam Allardyce down by showing a lack of heart.
I never expected West Ham to win or even go close but the manner of the defeat was a surprise as they went down without a heart.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faces a tough time at Cardiff but started in the best possible fashion with a stirring 2-1 FA Cup win at Newcastle. That will give him a major lift and he'll be looking for his players to put on a show on his home debut as he tries to win over the fans.
Cardiff's price is already dropping which is why I've posted the treble early. As I write they are 9-10 at Betway and the treble pays an enhanced 13-4 at Betway.
