COSTA RICAN picks more than made up for the NILF game yesterday evening and it’s where I’ll be focusing my thoughts once again on what is a pretty crap card.
Santos de Guapiles v Cartagines (8pm)
These two have come face to face 8 times over an almost exact 2-year spell and perhaps the most notable stat isn’t the number of match goals or games where both score – for me the one standout bit of intel is STG have failed to score in just one of those matches!
Unpick this thread a little further and you’ll find the hosts have already put 4 past Cartagines in 2018 with 1-1 and 3-1 scorelines – in fact since September 2016, SDG have put 3 or more goals past tonight’s opposition on 4 separate occasions.
So what of the opposition? Well, one thing that is clear is although their form is poor they are keeping the scorelines down this last year with only 7 of their most recent 22 games seeing overs.
What stands out even more prominently is the preponderance of Cartagines' games that finish
1-1 – a staggering 46% of their last 13 successive games finished this way and it’s the type of scoreline I’d maybe anticipate tonight.
