IT'S been a cracker of a weekend on the site with some monster winners thrown in – I had a profitable Saturday and a full house on Sunday so hoping to carry on the form into Monday.
I’ve singled out two games that look to offer a bit of value – one from the UK’s lower leagues and another hailing from Brazil’s Serie B.
Stourbridge v Cinderford (7.45pm)
Southern League Challenge Cup action here as ninth-placed NL Div One outfit Cinderford travel to high-flying Stourbridge who sit 2nd in the NL Prem after a cracking start to their campaign.
It’s Stourbridge’s home form that really stands out here and 7 back-to-back victories of 3-1, 4-1, 2-1, 3-2, 3-1 and 3-2 are difricult to ignore for the goals orientated bettor!
I can see Stourbridge bossing the game and can also see goals being high on the agenda. Head-to-head wise we have to look back to 2007-2008 when these two last met and although not entirely recent or relevant it does offer an historic additional hint with Stourbridge victories of 3-0 and 8-1.
Goias v Sampaio Correa (10pm)
Similarities to the Stourbridge game here in that this match may just be governed by the hosts' form and dominance. Goias have had a great campaign and sit a lofty fifth place despite a recent wobble over the past two weeks.
They could well use this evening’s fixture to get back on track as Sampaio pay a visit with only the woeful Boa keeping them off the bottom of the Serie B table.
Goias are that rare commodity in Brazil’s top two tiers in that their games seem to be a haven for goals – their last 15 consecutive matches read a pretty damn impressive 4-3-2-8-0-5-4-3-1-2-4-3-3-3-3 match goals scored and the fact the most recent two H2Hs finished with Goias victories of 3-1 and 2-1 add even further ammo.
