IT'S rare I get involved in the Europa League qualifiers for no other reason than I don’t know enough about many of the teams and the leagues they come from.
I’ll make an exception tonight though as my old favourites FH welcome Israeli side Hapoel Haifa to Hafnarfjordur.
FH v HAPOEL HAIFA (8.15pm)
I was kicking myself when I missed the 1st leg as FH produced their usual party trick by scoring and conceding a goal. Looks like the “FH Special” is universally accepted and not just contained to the Urvalsdeild!
I raised the development (or defensive regression) of their inability to keep the sheets clean around 18 months ago and they have never really got out of the rut although this season has seen a slight improvement.
Out of their last 76 games in all competitions over a two-year spell they have conceded at least 1 goal in 60 of them.
With the tie poised at 1-1 both teams can’t afford to sit back and play with apathy and I believe both will go for it.
Haifa are no mugs and sit 453rd in the Continental rankings while FH are much further down the list at 928th so there’s a benchmark for the general quality of each side in the wider footballing world.
Don’t see it. The team that’s playing Haifa only have less then half both teams to score. I can’t be looking at the right one. Even the last game it was 1-0
The last game was 1-1 @lonegunman ?
