TODAY brings a decent card as ever and there’s a good few games that catch the eye – I’ll maybe put up a goals acca later but there’s one game that stands out for me.
Darlington v Alfreton
As Alfreton travel up The Great North Road I’d bet my bottom dollar the collective minds of their players won’t be eyeing up a 0-0 bore draw and I’m pretty sure the Darlo massive awaiting their arrival won’t be setting up for that outcome either.
The Derbyshire side have started much the better team but there’s a central thread running through both teams' games that draws me in here .. goals.
Not just any goals but National League North goals – a bit like that old Marks and Sparks advert, maybe it’s just me but there’s something about the NLN that get’s the primordial goal bettor instincts going and this one ticks all the boxes. Darlo’s games this season have seen 4-3-7-2-6-4-3 match goals while Alfreton have seen a mere 4-1-4-1-3-4-6!
H2H-wise it’s the same: 1-1, 4-1, 0-3 and 3-4 scorelines within a 24-month spell reflect perfectly my interest in this game above all others.

Quick post and apologies for lack of reasoning – Royal Pari have been the new incarnation of Wilsterman this season in terms of taking the Bolivian top flight by storm … there’s every chance they could do Guabira who are never at their best away from home.
