CAN'T ignore the EPL’s big north-west derby today as thousands of Mancs drag themselves from their rain-soaked hovels and make the short trip over to sunny Merseyside – it ought to be a belter.
Both Liverpool and City are two of Europe’s finest attacking and counter-attacking sides and the action and intensity of play should be high – I’m taking a slightly different tack on the game and will be focusing on corners.
Unlike Macca, who’ll be using corners to stand on and throw stones at buses, I’m looking to back them and have done well doing so with both sides over the last season.

Two games in South America that I like the look of and something a little different for the earlier game.
RIVER PLATE WOMEN VS. UBA WOMEN (7.30pm)
I always keep my eye on this league as, much like their Northern Irish counterparts, the Argentinian ladies football leagues see some consistently impressive scorelines – especially when River Plate are involved.
This particular H2H sees a game with a cracking pedigree for goals; the last 11 meetings wound up with scorelines of: 2-4, 5-1, 5-0, 0-5, 0-4, 1-0, 3-0, 2-7, 5-1, 4-0 and 1-7 with River Plate winning 100% of the historic matches.
Low stakes stuff but could be worth a look.

CARMELITA VS. ALAJUELENSE (10pm)
The Carmelita bet a few nights ago had a sweet outcome and I suspect there’s more value to be had here as 2nd placed Alajuelense go up against their city opposition on shared soil in Barrio el Carmen having already put 12 goals past them within the last 12 months.
Alajuelense have scored 2-1-2-3-2-6 team goals in their 6 most recent games and have lost just 2 and won 8 of their last 10 consecutive league games – a decent enough record made better by the fact that they have the chance to leapfrog leaders Saprissa into top spot with another win.
I’ll be swerving any bets based around WDW though and with 5-6-5-4 match goals in the last (and very recent) 4 H2H’s, goals are the way to go.
