It wasn't to be for either of Rizzels selections on Saturday with neither of them running as expected, particularly the Nicholls runner who was a strong favourite for that contest but was well beaten by the Skelton runner who looks promising for a yard bang in form.

Lot Of Joy 7/2 – Leopardstown 1.20
This looks like a wide-open contest with plenty arriving with strong claims. Jetara who heads the market is proven over the trip and brings some fair form to the table but I think the Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliot runners are the two to focus on, with both of them expected to improve for this step up in trip.
I found it difficult to separate the two but I finally opted for the Willie Mullins runner Lot Of Joy who I think can progress on for this step back up in trip. My selections form isn't to the standard to that of Jetara and this contest represents a step up in grade but I was really impressed with Lot Of Joy's last performance when winning at Punchestown by a comfortable 4L over 2m2f. Lot Of Joy had plenty in hand at the line that day, suggesting that a step back up in trip is well within reach. Jockey Paul Townend rode my selection quite prominently that day and I think he'll opt for similar tactics this time around. If he can get Lot Of Joy into a nice rhythm then I think he a great chance of getting another win on the board after an already great week or so for the inform jockey.

Lost to bridal hill in January so no logical way he beats the favourite but he was 2nd in this race last year when fantastic lady who also runs today was pulled up.
La ronamnee is also 2 pounds better off with fantastic lady today.
The other horse effernock fizz is an old dog and shouldn’t be troubling the scorers but this is racing where anything is possible and horses make the illogical ligical
Have only looked at leopardstown and just can’t make my mind up.
In the 1.10 I thought Jetara had the best claims and looks to have been trained to repeat last year’s success. She’s also becoming a very backable price too.
The 1.55 is very competitive. Ballybawn Belter is the only course winner in the field (2-3) but those runs came over hurdles and hasn’t really taken to fences yet, maybe they have a target in mind and maybe it’s today. Market will tell us more nearer post time. St Deniss Well won for me a few days ago but again that was over hurdles but is obviously in good health and jockey takes 2lbs off which will help.
2.30 State Man should gain revenge
3.05 another very competitive h’cap. Current fav Sa Fureur is rated 18lbs lower over hurdles and must go close because of that. Mr Percy for the very in form JOB yard is Daryl Jacobs last ride before he retires so will be doing everything he can to go out on a high. But he’s a 4yr old and doesn’t get the age allowance so looks up against it.
One at a price is Harsh (22/1 bet365) who will love conditions and with a 7lb claimer onboard will be running below his last win mark which was at the punchestown festival . I might have a go on him but generally I’m going to watch the market today and back at post time.

Too many Mullins horses running everywhere.
Oh so easy for him to order a few to just have a spin and not to flog the horse when there are are others from his yard running in the same races.
With the horses recent form and the jockey booking for that horse to finish plum last beaten 40 lengths stinks of match fixing.
Everyone seems to love Mullins but I think he sucks the life out of racing.
Glad bromhead won that race with a horse that had run well in french graded races and thankfully one that Mullins scouts missed
