Amazing Cleni 20/1 (3pl) – Huntingdon 2.33

One of the yards to pay attention to when a horse goes chasing off a low handicap mark is Kim Bailey & Mat Nicholls, which is why I'm giving Amazing Cleni a chance.

This yard, especially when Kim was the sole trainer on the licence, was better with chasers. This season, the strike rate hasn't been the same, which should allow us to get some decent odds on Amazing Cleni.

His form over hurdles has not been great at all, but smaller obstacles aren't for every horse, and when they transition to fences, they are much better.

This doesn't look like a strong race, so it won't take much for a newcomer to get involved.

Judicature 8/1 (3pl) – Newcastle 6.40

Joel Parkinson & Sue Smith are better known as jumps trainers, but they have been delving into the flat scene a little more recently.

Judicature is a course and distance winner, but has been terrible on the turf since. His win at this venue was a completely different level of form, so a return to Newcastle could be what the doctor ordered and is worth a chance at solid odds.

The race he won was a novice race, so with this being a handicap, it should be harder, especially off top weight. However, he is still lightly raced and is only a three-year-old, so I'm expecting more to come.

Pic D'orhy 10/3 (2pl) – Ascot 1.30

If the true version of Il Est Francais turns up, he could be a very tough horse to beat. However, we rarely see that from the French raider, and he is far too inconsistent to debate backing at the prices.

Pic D'orhy is a very solid horse, and even at the age of ten, he has to be one to be on in this race. His chances of winning are made harder by the fact that he is carrying more weight than his main market principles, but to counter that, he has race fitness.

He ran well in the Charlie Hall at Wetherby three weeks ago and looked like the winner until his stamina came to an end.

To add to his winning chances, Pic D'orhy is a course specialist, shown by winning on five of the six appearances at the track.

Crambo 14/1 (3pl) – Ascot 2.40

If Wodhooh stays the trip, she has to be the one to beat. She is getting all of the weight allowances, but at the prices against what we know about her staying, she has to be taken on.

I have a sneaky feeling that Crambo will be having a run out and gaining fitness for a tilt at the Grade 1 at this track in a month or so. However, on the off chance that he is ready to fire first time out, he is being massively overlooked.

Crambo puts in his best form at this track and is 3/3 at Ascot. He has won the Grade 1 at this venue on two occasions, so if he is fit, he is a huge player.

Usually, I'd go with a win Lucky 15, but the odds are far too big. So, today, I'm advising an EW Lucky 15.
