FRENCH Ligue 2 action tonight as fifth placed Lens travel to Basement boys Red Star and the visitors will be looking to create some space between them and the 5 clubs below them who are all trying to get into the those play off positions

Red Star vs Lens (KO 7.45pm)

Initially when I looked at this game I was going to back Lens just to win given that they are pushing for promotion and Red Star are rooted to the bottom of the table with a paltry 13 points from their 19 games so far.

Having a deeper look and the bookies are pricing Lens at odds against for a reason – French Ligue 2 away win % is lower than a lot of other leagues and when you look at Lens recent form it doesn't inspire confidence

Lens have only won one of their last 8 matches in the league and even though they are playing against the leagues basement boys, it would take a brave man to back them away from home against anyone

Red star on the other hand have picked up recently with 4 points with a 3-0 win at home to Sochaux and a creditable  1-1 draw away at a good Paris side

Going to side with goal here at a very decent price with both sides contributing

Recommended Bet:

  • Over 2.5 match goals
  • 5/4 (BetBright) (NAP)
