FOR the first time in almost two years William Hill can report Tiger Woods' backers are back in force.

Woods is 7-1 to win the Arnold Palmer that starts on Thursday and so-far he has attracted more than half of the early money.

Tiger is 1-7 to make the cut and 4-7 for a top-10 finish but if you think Tiger is still not back to his best you can get 4-1 he misses the cut.

Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams said: “In his good years Tiger cost us a pretty penny and we are not looking forward to his return to the winners enclosure!”

I don't know where the confidence in Woods is coming from to be honest and I'd much rather be on Dustin Johnson at 16-1 or Hunter Mahan at 22-1.

Arnold Palmer Invitational outrights (William Hill): 7-1 Tiger Woods, 16-1 Dustin Johnson,
18-1 G McDowell, 20-1 Mickelson, 22-1 Mahan, 30-1 Rose, 33-1 Snedeker, 35-1 Fowler, Laird, 40-1 C Couch, Els, Furyk, Zach Johnson, Schwartzel, V Singh, 50-1 S Garcia, JB Holmes, Allenby, Na, Woodland, 55-1 Bar.
