RORY McILROY quite rightly has taken a week off after his US Open power show.

That at least gives someone else a chance of glory at the BMW International Open in Munich.

Home hero Martin Kaymer is title favourite at a best 10-1 with Paddy Power but his recent form hasn't been impressive and he finished down in 39th at Congressional last week.

Dustin Johnson fared slightly better as he came home in 23rd but what's impressive is the fact he has upped sticks and headed to Germany for this event.

The Americans have been criticised for not leaving their shores often enough and allowing the Europeans to dominate the world rankings.

Johnson hasn't travelled so far not to go for the title and will find a flat course suited to his exceptional length. Take him at a best 14-1 with Paddy Power and Chandler.

If you're looking for each-way value consider Scot Peter Whiteford at 44-1 with unibet. The Fifer has finished in the top 10 on his last three European starts and is threatening to land a big prize.

On a course that suits big hitters England's George Boyd (80-1, Ladbrokes) and Germany's Marcel Siem (150-1, Paddy Power, bet365) could have good weeks.
