Gents, A missed penalty by Sheffield Wednesday in added time on Saturday cost me my 2+ goals double and I'm hoping for better luck tonight in League One and Two with Bolton and Carlisle my two picks.

To Score 2+ Goals Tips

Bolton have a half decent record at home with 8 wins, 4 draws and 2 defeats which sees them sitting in 5th place ( play off spot) They won last time out at home beating Portsmouth 3-0 and I'm happy to take them at 4/7 to score 2+goals against the bottom of the table Forest Green Rovers who have a poor away record of 6 defeats, 6 draws and one win and 27 goals conceded. Next up are Carlisle at home to Hartlepool in League Two.

The home side has been quietly moving up the table and could move to within a point of 3rd place with a win. They have won 3 of their last 4 games scoring 7 times and are 8/11 to score 2+ goals against a Hartlepool side in a relegation battle and conceding 26 goals in 13 away games.

I'm going for the usual 3-point double that pays 7/4.

Both Teams to Score Double

Other goals bets l like the look of are btts double of Exeter v Barnsley and Wycombe v Oxford, 1point@2/1

  • Exeter are btts in 6 of last 8 home games, and Barnsley are btts in 2 of last 3 away games.
  • Wycombe are btts in 5 of last 8 at home and Oxford are btts in 3 of their last 4 games.

Over 2.5 Goals Tips

An over 2.5 goals treble of Burton, Cheltenham and Ipswich, 1-point @ 9/2

  • Burton are overs in their last 4 games and have seen 86goals in 26 games, Peterborough are overs in 5 of their last 8 away games.
  • Cheltenham are overs in their last 4 games, Sheffield Wednesday are on a run of 5 straight wins and will need 2 here for that run to continue if Cheltenham get their average goal a game at home.
  • Ipswich are overs in 2 of last 3 at home and Morecambe are overs in 2 of their 3 away games.

a roll up of all seven pays 42/1, 0.5pts and a roll up of all seven being overs pays 67/1, 0.5pts. Good luck with your bets this evening. Desmond. January total-4.5pts

    Hi Desmond

Both Burton & Cheltenham games postponed tonight. Do you have any alternatives?

David, afraid not as it was slim pickings on tonight’s reduced card without these cancellations, both Scottish cup games could go over but after last night’s result by Aberdeen I’m leaving well alone. Cheers,Desmond

I’ve gone for Stockport v Bradford BTTS instead of the Exeter game, Chesterfield v Altrincham and Colchester v Salford both over 2.5 goals instead of the two postponed matches
