IT was a super Sunday for football north and south of the border and a magnificent one for Mr Fixit followers.

My famous Super Singles on the cards in Scotland and England both trapped and they were crackers.

In the English Premier League, my standout tip for the day was Paul Scholes at 14-1 each-way to score first for Man United at Fulham and the former England midfielder bagged a stunning opener.

And in the SPL my Super Single was Inverness draw no bet at 5-2. Terry Butcher's men, who were 5-1 with Ladbrokes to win the game, brought the gamble up in style with a 4-0 rout of Dundee United at Tannadice.

I also suggested Rangers, who won 3-0 at Hibs, were too good to ignore at 4-5. And I advised taking Celtic, 4-0 winners against St Mirren, minus one at 8-15.

Admittedly, I tipped Aston Villa to beat Newcastle but in my defence predicted over three goals in the match and there were six.

Look out for more top tips all this week starting with Man City v Liverpool on Monday night.
